Testing the natural version of the 3D eyelashes , the Nefer make-up is horrible from close up but you get the idea
it still need precision adjustment and I guess I need now the eyebrows as well .. :laugh:

You know that the main reason for painted eyes in Egypt was not so much for a beauty but prevent the eyes from the sun glare for better vision, ancient anti glare sunglasses method ..

Everything! hahaha But really, anything you'd like to do.

I purchase just about everything I see for horses (unless its really bad) so it would be an insta-buy from me. Other animals stuff is a close second. I think all my personal art just has or focuses on animals so I'm always looking for more stuff. (95% of my human art is promo work lol)

OK No problem ,once I settle down with work for D2 I will think about something cool, and if you find something cool and not on the market let me know.

Last Egyptian teaser for today.. tested the conversion from the millions of poly to just 3K for the headdress, it still looks the same , it need to be textured and gems stone added and hair in the back, just tested my new PBR Egyptian gold (Nb= Nebu) material and checked the normal maps

There will be also second part of the headdress , the Isis Crown , one with hornet - red -sun -disk, one with a feathers.

the new eyelashes adding so much beauty to her eyes , don't you think ? I see on the original Nefertiti bust 2 lines at the end of eyelids just above the black line of makeup , I wonder if they glued inside actual hair eyelashes for the bust , other way no reason for that to be there .

for your Iray skin, are you going to use the 8.1 skin? ( hope not- many of us can't update to the version of daz that uses it)
I am going to use my own shader as I did 8 years ago , not the new one , however the new one can't be used on Dawn, there are restrictions regarding the shader I believe as it need to be purchased , not included for free with Daz Studio so a lot of people will not have it. My shader for skin works in any light conditions, from point light to HDRI and the base code is included for free. Plus can be easy converted to other programs outside DS since it is PBR based and all settings are inside all the maps.

Is this Iray? If so, are you going to include the hdr? Those are the best eyes I've seen. Really. And the eyelashes are %&*#! brilliant! Are the upper eyelid folds going to be different?

I need to edit the eyelids folds and make it more deeper ( naturally ), when the eyes open the lower part will go inside below the folds you see now, that's how this type of eyes works , right now it looks same as on the bust , I can't rig it yet , the D2 alpha is not ready.
Also there is still not proper skin textures or bump maps , so after that you will see no difference between real or rendered, as ton of details will come on top of that. You see to SSS working probably , you need the proper normal-displacement-bump maps, without it no one sss skin will ever looks proper and of course the proper eyelids morph for open and closed eyes . She have 3 eyelid folds

The light is my HDR maps used in iray , high quality best on the market with dynamic range between 9-14, producing proper shadows and ambient light , each map is 65 megapixels .
This one above is from Brooklyn Bridge I shot last year in lock down , the new series of NYC HDRI coming on the market soon as well, NYC without 1 person in a photo, From Time Square to Center Park , Downtown etc.. quite unique for first time ever in history of photography .

I will include the proper HDR with each product and ready to render scenes and cameras for the best look so you get exactly what you see in renders.

Below the actual eyelids folds Nefertiti had with this kind of eyes . The bust heavily indicate double eyelids. The lacrimal glands are very deep
When I was living in Europe I saw a lot of eyes like that by the Greeks/Persians/ Turkish folks

I am working on some hair system for use with my characters as standard included , no strand DS hair, no Poser hair no fibers .. but works everywhere , 11K of poly and fine as pleased
this is open GL no rendered

they could be run with dforce or Poser cloth for simulation as I did in the last preview on the right

Looks awesome, Cath! I have tried cloth sims on hair, and it can be a hit or miss, since basically the hair would have to be built for that purpose, and most are not. Hit detection on the Cloth Room leaves something to be desired when it comes to flowing hair, and with the Bullet engine it is even worse (but not surprising because it is real-time). Things like this are important because posing hair shouldn't have to be this difficult.
