I usually do parenting with the Object > Change Parent menu option for hair and clothes. I think the only time I do
a drag and drop is with a prop to a hand, since the prop's positioning may need tweaking, and the finger poses adjusted. With hair and clothing, none of that's necessary, so the menu option is more accurate.
