Anime Girl Kristin 2.0

Here's a preliminary look at the updated Anime Boy Hiro for Hiro 3.... Hiro was easiest to match stylistically with my Anime Girl which is why I chose him over newer generations of figures (plus poor Hiro never got much love in the community)... I've made a few changes to the facial morphs and body shapes I'd used to create the custom dial-spun character so that he matches more closely with the style of my Kristin, and I'm working on the base skin textures now... I have the 5 base skins started (they still need a bit of detailing) and will be doing a set of tan-line textures for a basic pair of shorts (there were a pair as a freebie on ShareCG that suited as beach shorts). As you can see I've matched his skins to Kristin and the style of his facial features matches fairly closely as well...

Great potenrial Chris, I presume Hiro can wear his usual custom clothes? I.E. no joint changes ?

That's correct... I used the existing morph and shaping dials that come with Hiro to create this as a custom dial spun character... no changes to the actual mesh or joint rigs were made. The new Anime Boy custom Cr2 simply loads the character with the morphs already pre-dialed in and applies the new custom textures specific to the Anime Boy character so you'll still need to have the original Hiro 3 from DAZ3D for this to work... The set will also include an inject/remove pose so that you can use it to reset Hiro to the base original or restore the default Anime Boy look...

I've created custom skin and eye textures to match him to Kristin and used his morphs/shapes to match her look and style. His textures will also work on Aiko 3 as will the body shaping presets and character presets that I'm inlcuding... Infact I'm including 1 special Custom Character and texture for Aiko 3. There will be a number of character presets like I did for Kristin (her 3 brothers, and her Boyfriend with custom character-specific textures), and I'm doing 2 special character presets for her Mother (for Aiko 3 with specific textures) and Father (with character specific textures) as well...

The older figures get over-looked and have their issues, but still have a lot of useful life in them despite their "age", I'm just trying to bring out some of that fun the older figures can still provide... Hiro never did get as much love as Aiko did, but then again none of the male figures get the same attention that the female figures do...

I've finalized the 5 base skin-tones and bump maps for Hiro... and tan line versions for a pair of basic shorts... I'm turning my attention to the custom skins for the Character Presets I want to include...

The character presets I'm including are done (hair styles not included and from various sources of course)... The first is intended to be Kristin's "Boy Friend", the others are my idea of giving her a "family" (the character presets included with Kristin were my idea of her sister and friends)... though they can obviously be used in any way one desires... As with the presets for Kristin the Pz2's will load both the character body shape and a custom textures set...

Now to work on some "every day" poses like those I included for Kristin (Hiro has lots of action and sports type poses, but all the figures, regardless of generation, are sadly lacking in poses that depict simple actions of daily life)...

Just to let everyone know, work on Hiro and my other 3D projects is on hold right now... I've been having medical issues which escalated until they resulted in a trip to the ER, a 3 day hospital stay, and I'm booked for emergency surgery next week which god willing will go well and get me on the road to recovery...

I wanted to update everyone here on my status... I'm back home to finish recovering from emergency abdominal surgery. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the bowel and liver. Surgery was successful in removing the tumors in my large intestine, but the liver will need additional treatment and I'm looking at chemo, possibly radiation, and down the road potentially more surgery to deal with it. Currently the cancer is now confined to my liver and according to my blood work isn't currently affecting my health in any immediate way and the prognosis from the specialists is that with successful chemo/radiation therapies I'll eventually have a full recovery. Other than my liver, I've been found to be in excellent over-all health given my age and physical condition, and the specialists have every confidence in a successful outcome.

I'm glad you're in good spirits and are recovering. Luckily the liver can mend itself, it's one of the only organs in the human body that can do that. So hopefully they will get the rest of that out of your body and you can get on with life. Healing Hugs

I've had further discussions with my surgical team, and we're still awaiting lab pathology reports from the tumors they removed (COVID had caused massive delays in processing other medical tests/reports cause... you know... no one is getting normal sick at all). Pending the final pathology reports, I'm scheduled for 3 months of chemo treatments to begin once I've fully recovered from surgery unless the final report indicates that other treatment options are available or more appropriate (gene therapies etc). Sadly I can't begin treatment until those final pathology reports come in and I'm still waiting for Oncology consultations as they can't begin planning until they've received them as well (the final reports will tell us what strain of cancer I have and the type/strain will tell us what options are best suited to treat it)...
