Todays Weather where you live?

We had a storm yesterday all day long and today the weather is cold, but fine. But I'm having a field day with the insurance company as the storm destroyed the outside door to the attic and I've been already in the queue for ten minutes and their music is horrible........

You have an outside door to your attic? Is there a porch or balcony there? Or is it just a big drop if you step out?

Does the doorway lead to a widow’s walkway on the roof?... Was your home once owned by a whimsical old sea captain who‘s ghost haunts your attic?
That’s cool... my attic is only haunted by the ghost of some random bird who died there... and lots of spiders... god, there are lots spiders.
Well, I’m envious.
I do have a stabby gnome that lives under the sofa... but a sea captain is way more fun.

It got very cloudy a little while ago, with very dark looking clouds, and now I'm hearing thunder again but no lightning, or at least not any I can see from here.

OK, I take that back, just saw a little bit of lightning. They said we'd have a storm today, but since I hadn't seen it yet, I thought they had gotten it wrong. I guess not. :(

I guess we'll be getting the remnants of Laura this weekend. Joy. :cautious:

Stezza. Looks like Moona Moona Creek at Huskisson at low tide. I can see the headland at Jervis Bay in the background. Beautiful spot and popular with locals and tourists.

No, there's the part that becomes the garden, House was build square back in 1907, got an extension later for the first floor that stretches back in a long rectangle. From the house runs the back porch till the end of this extended house and then turns into garden. There's a metal ladder attached to the house and then comes the attic door.

Nope, that attic is store room, with lots of spiders as well - I do hate spiders. The original attic is unuseable and usually in the autumn term gets invaded by probably mice which you can hear running around, to the entertainment and frustration of my cats. The mice move out in spring.

Right now I’m actually sitting in my yard while I’m writing this... it’s about 76°F/24°C... there is a gentle 11 MPH/17 KPH breeze blowing up from the Great South Bay, there is very little humidity and its a pretty nice evening...
The fire pit is cracking a few feet from my chair and there is a nice cold beer on the little table next to me...
In fact this is my view looking up at the sky...
D4153789-5406-47A9-A921-09B9B724EBEC.jpeg

And that’s what I’m going to be stuck seeing for quite a while...
See, my wife bought this stupid chair I’m lying down in from Amazon and it’s supposed to be super versatile and have lots of comfy positions... unfortunately it has just three... leaning oddly forward, laying flat out like some diabolical dentist’s chair and collapsed painfully in a heap on the ground...
The root canal position is perilously close to the lying in a heap position and if you try to gently lean backwards from oddly forward, you instantly find yourself lying flat with your feet raised awkwardly up so that you feel one wrong twitch of a muscle will drop you on your head.
That nice cold beer is just out of my reach and I’ve been listening to Fallout Boy‘s AB/AP album several times over now... I’m getting sick of the Uma Thurman song...
Everyone went inside a while ago and I decided to try sitting in the chair and do some writing on my iPad because it’s so nice out and there aren’t any mosquitoes due to the breeze.

And now I‘m trapped... and soaked in beer.
An oatmeal stout...
Right before I was dumped backwards I was finishing off another bottle of beer, and when the chair changed position, the beer sloshed all over me.
I hate reeking of beer when I’m not properly drunk...
Also, most of the logs in the fire pit are kinda ash now and the gentle breeze is blowing enough of it out so that it drifts down onto me where it’s having a nice Mount Saint Helens/Pompeii effect.
I feel like I should probably just try and nap like an ashy/beery mess until someone comes outside looking for me, but I want that other beer.
I know I can reach it if I squirm into the right position... it’s just under six inches, but it’s tricky... I’m too lazy to get up if this thing falls and the grass is a little damp.
I‘m gonna work this out...
Hopefully I’ll figure this out before it gets dark.

Unusually cold wether fo rthis time of year. We didn't even get a decent rain out of it. Just a day and a half of mist to sprinkles.

Cool here today. High was only about 70F, and that was this morning. It's only 64 right now, at 3:13 pm!

It’s been a little chilly at night... also... leaves are starting to pile up on me... and a raccoon took one of my shoes...
Why just one?...
I‘m starting to think nobody went looking for me on purpose...

Oh, it was a bit chilly during the day today as well, mostly because we're getting 12-14mph winds, and it looks as though it's going to stay windy all of this coming week. At least they're reporting temps in the 70s starting on Tuesday, so that will definitely be more comfortable. Today's high was only 65°.

Yes, it was nippy when I went out again a little while ago, though the wind seems to have died down a bit, so not too bad.
