Cool E!!! Have fun!! That would be so great to have some good Dusk cowboy/horse poses! And of course good props too!
Is there a place like this on the Western Tack set where I can hang the rope?

There is a horn, but you might need to do the leather bit to hook over it.

LOL I am NO expert on western tack. I've ridden mainly english my entire time with horses. But I think this is the part you are thinking of, called the Latigo Holder- see illus- (LOL I looked it up.) You would need to add the bit of leather for the tie too. (Edit: LOL oh duh- the bit of leather there is called the Latigo, which holds the Lariat/rope:)

Okay, so I just need to make a coiled rope and a latigo holder to bind it, then parent it just below the horn.

I think so, but I'm not really sure- after doing a little googling it does look like the most common thing is to use a strap that goes around the horn like this. But I think if you make it all look like your image (strap wrapped around the rope/lariat) that you posted and parent it like you say a little below the horn/I would say over the concho on the latigo holder) that will work well! But LOL as I said I am NO expert at all:)

I only rode English but I had some "Cutting" friends (working with cattle) and they pretty much had it like Laurie's pic above. I found this page that shows how to add it to the saddle, while you don't need to do it exactly like it, it may help to show you how its attached properly so you can modify it to suit 3D Attach A Rope Strap To Your Saddle

Well, I had just finished making a pose for Dusk mounting Harry, which I was gonna render and post, but Poser's been giving me trouble since the last update. When I tried to render it crashed. fortunately, though, i had just saved the pose so at least i won't have to re-do that.
