Tea for Two:
Lights turned down low,
Heart racing, she's waiting;
Time is moving so slow,
He'll be here, she's waiting;
And now a sound she hears,
He's there knocking at the door;
She rushes to fling it open,
And now she's waiting no more:
Aurore hadn’t seen the love of her life for sooo long.
Alaric had been called to fly his plane on a special, secret mission and it was very dangerous.
She had lain awake each night thinking of him and praying for his safe return.
Now he was coming home and she had prepared for it with their favorite relaxing drink.
Her heart thudded in her chest and she waited.
A knock at the door, it was him!
He was not allowed to take any personal item which might in some way identify him.
Therefore he no longer had the key.
Aurore rushed to the door and flung it open, taking him in her arms for a hug.
He held her close for a few moments and then they entered the house and walked to the stand by the ottoman by the sofa.
He took her in his arms and held her close.
On an end table she had set out two porcelain cups and a sterling silver plated ceramic tea service.
This was one of there favorite times, tea for two under low lights.
She had waited so long, now she waited no more.
