Diff'rent Strokes! In a world where cultures can be so far apart, even in the same country, how can we ever hope to understand another's point of view?

Yep that is what I really call cute.

As for understanding another's point of view you're right is difficult. One UK support charity's policy is never to give advice on the basis that what you are really saying is 'this is what I would do if I were you. The problem is you are not them and what works for you will not necessarily work for them no matter how well good the intended advice is. Far more important I think is that we should listen a lot more but it seems to be a dying skill. On the plus side art, whether 3d or otherwise, can say something across cultures and often in a nice way rather than aggressively, hence the saying I guess that a picture can paint an thousand words.

Babe and Rialein relax at the Rockpool. A render using another style of 'kitbashing'. This is explained further in the 'Opposable Thumbs' thread.

You know it's funny, but the first thing that I saw in the picture was the umbrellas unifying them. Maybe that's because last summer I purchased just that sort of umbrella to keep the sun off when I was walking, which it seems to me everyone should do, but just isn't really done in the US.

It seems to be a simple render on the face of it but the overall result is just as you have set it out, it is relaxing. I guess a lot of that is to do with the pose of the horse and the character but it blends nicely with the the environment. I love how your renders tell the story of the moment.

Actually GG, I bought a small light beige folding umbrella a couple of summers ago for just that reason. One of the meds I take says you shouldn't be in direct (or indirect) sunlight for any length of time. Up until then I had no problem walking outside to run errands, but the past 2 summers have been difficult, so the umbrella has really helped.

My Gran always carried an umbrella for portable shade. Of course, she was British born and practically albino, in SoCal, so the umbrella probably saved her a lot of grief.

I can certainly understand that JOdel. My skin tone isn't that light, as I used to get quite tanned on vacations during the summer back when I was still traveling often. I'm sure if it wasn't for the medication, I wouldn't have the problem of walking in the sun for any length of time.

View media item 2794Inspired by a beautifully shot Russian film I saw a while ago about a princess who fell in love with a man who would turn into a dragon. While "gypsy" isn't exactly "Russian," it was the closest I had, and I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out; so much so that I went back and re-rendered it in Ultra-HD widescreen format. That was of course too big to upload here, but if you want to see it, it is: User Galleries | DAZ 3D Gallery | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D

I still love this one! It almost has a bit of a Boris Vallejo or Luis Royo style to it.... the colors are great, and you did such a wonderful job on the poses and interactions. It's a gorgeous piece. :)
