I love Handel's Messiah. Got to sing it on TV with a bunch of local church choirs back when I was in high school.

Our snow hasn't melted so if the temps stay low, we'll have a slightly white Christmas. Can still see the grass through the snow and roads/sidewalks are clear.

My mother got to sing the whole thing back when she was getting her nursing degree. My grandmother and I went to that performance.

Was thinking of the people I know who lost loved ones this year, and how difficult the holidays can be.

Yes, it can bring mixed emotions when one feels the loss of friends or family. In those times we have to reaffirm our faith to find the strength, or even the desire sometimes, to move on. God shows up unexpectedly in the warmth of other relationships, and even in little blessings.
