Hi everybody
Got my lab report yesterday, and it was more of a disappointment than the med prices. I'll just say that I'll have to focus on even more rest and an even stricter regimen in terms of limited diet and being careful about physical exertion. I'm bored just thinking about it...and of course there's reason to be concerned. But worry won't solve a thing...so that's all I need to share about that.
I've been thinking that it would be good to at least get some of my larger pose sets converted to DS4. It won't require all that much work...just importing the original Poser scene files and re-saving them as .duf files. If the scenes are simple, they convert nicely. So far the only one that had some unusual problems was the Last Supper set, some of the poses lost their placement upon import...but considering how large the scene is, it's good that it even opened. I was impressed that though it's a very large scene, I could still rotate it with only a little lag hesitation. I've gotten all 13 character conversions to .duf completed, and only one gave me some trouble in the hand area...but isolating just that pose in a separate scene file improved the conversion. I may do that for the whole set...again, not a lot of work, just patience re-saving. The major work is in the scene setups...so for now I may do just some conversions, in order to dial down the stress level. I learn more rapidly through repetition anyway, so this will be good for learning to be at ease using DS4. And... it will be good to have the biblical sets completed by Easter this year.
I dropped out of 3D work last spring, when I got the first negative lab report, and with much rest and a very strict regimen, there was significant improvement within about four months. I was hoping that improvement would remain stable as more activity was slowly introduced. Unfortunately, it didn't....and I'm hoping I won't have to completely drop out of 3D work again...because I've been having fun with it again, and was looking forward to learning more. Just sharing this much, so if you notice that I'm dialing down in terms of time, it means I'm trying to discipline myself to do what's best, even against my own impulses to be more involved. In short, skylab has to behave...even though skylab doesn't really want to
