Ah, 'loaf cat'. We called that position 'bed slug' when ours used it, especially when she had her nose tucked right in down between her front paws as well.

This is the sort of thing that used to happen to our cat all the time. She could fall off the floor, honestly. Clumsiest feline I ever met, and one of the most loving and loveable.
