Amazing image! I have a coworker that looks very much like her, great job!

I like her no matter which incarnation you choose to display. :) I love her face - and her eyes...

Thank you for the comments and the encouragement from everyone. In one sense the character is a real Frankenstein in that there are a mixture of morphs, some form the Dawn SE pack, some form the base and additional packs and add-ons available here. The texture is from 3Dream as mentioned before but the eyes are not, they are from 'Oriana' by Fabiana (which is on sale if anyone is interested.). I had a great set of eye textures for V4 and it was the lack of a decent mature and eye textures that stopped my using Dawn for a long time, the launch of Dawn SE and the textures that became available around the same time was the catalyst for me jumping the V4 ship.

That said the textures are tweaked, I have played with the skin maps in certain places as they were too mature for what I wanted, but this was more on the body than on the face. The eye maps are unchanged except I have modified the materials, guided by some great information from Bagginsbill, so that there are real reflections in the eye. What I mean by that is, if the figure is facing a oblong window the eye reflection has an oblong highlight, a strip if under strip lighting. Of course this is only apparent in a real close up but I am very mush against burnt in highlights in any of my characters eyes.

Frankenstein or not, I am really pleased with the way the character has turned out. What limited skills (actually it is more by trial error and a great deal of luck if the truth be known) I have used where originally developed using V4 and for me, it was not the lack of clothing that held me back from adopting Dawn but the inability to create a mature character as I had with V4, initially at least. I think my character at least shows that such a character is possible and goes someway to show what a great base for characters that Dawn has become.

I think you did a great job Hornet, and it doesn't matter if she was "pieced together" bit by bit. It's the end result that counts. ;)

Thanks, I sort of knew where I wanted to end up in the sense I wanted an unusual heroine figure, more mature and not as tall as is the norm for Poser, trouble was I had no plan of how to get there so which is why the figure was very bitty, but I am pleased at where I ended up.

I think you did a great job also. I was an early adopter of Dawn so I could see what I could get out of her and I was never really pleased with any of the results I got. but your image has made me want to revisit her and see what new results I can get if any since the release

It's nice to think I might have inspired someone to have another go at using Dawn. I liked a lot of what I saw first time around but I try and add humor or emotion to my renders and I rely heavily on facial expressions to do this. There were just not enough morphs for Dawn when she was launched, not for me at least. By the time Dawn SE was launched a lot has changed, particularly as far as morphs go. There are so many in use in my character, from the head morphs that came with the base and the add-ons. Then there are the 'Shape of Dawn' morphs I have used for the body. More recently there have been the expression morphs that have appeared which I am still getting my head around but I can get expressions with Dawn that I could never achieve with V4.

I will say though I found Dawn harder to work with when I first started but then I had been using V4 for years. These days I do not struggle as much but the expressions I can get with Dawn is a world away from what I could do with V4. This is important for me as I do a fair amount to close up and portrait renders, your needs will be different so I don't know how well Dawn will work for you. What I do know is that Dawn is now a very different and more versatile lady than she was when she first hit the market.

Made this t-shirt for Dawn last night in 3DSMAX + ZBrush, and CatsEyes wanted to try it first. Rendered in Poser with Superfly.^^

@Ken1171 I'll confess I hadn't even looked at the body it was her face that got me :) Bodys are easy enough to tweek to what you want but getting a interesting face is some what harder

That's very true - it has been years I wanted a stylized face like this, but I couldn't do it until Chris started the Sora project for Dawn. CatsEyes was created on top of Sora, which is a beautiful base to work with. ^^

As soon as Chris completes Sora's head morphs, I can finish CatsEyes as well. I have finished what I could on everything else, to include the DS version with EZ-MATs done with ShaderMixer. I was just disappointed to find out that ShaderMixer materials don't show in DS previews. It's odd to load or edit a material and we can't see anything until we render. It's unbelievable in this day and age. DAZ should fix this before even thinking on adding more features.

HAHAHA.. "When you wish upon a star...." probably not going to happen. They like their new toys more than they seem to like to fix stuff at times! :p

That's an issue in Poser as well when you're using a shader rather than a plain texture map. What you see in preview is not what you see in the final render. I often wondered why both DS and Poser do that, but it must be something to do with the extra nodes you plugin to your materials. Then again, I rarely see textures/materials that are just plain texture/uv maps attached to the Diffuse (and perhaps Specular) node(s).
