In answer to your question, No, I still have my DS 3 Advanced installed, as well as my DS 4.0 Pro, because I did like the original Genesis. I came back to Poser with version 9 when Dawn entered the 3D universe back in the summer of 2013, as I hadn't used Poser since version 5. Now I have PoserPro 11 as well.
I still use my V4 characters, so I can't see not using my DS 3A now and then.
