I hope you have other facilities you can use while remodelling these!

Yes, we are remodelling with the neighbours. We sort of have this little group that stays on the park the longest. From April 'till November. The building activities are allowed the hole year except during holiday season, July, August & September do mostly people tend to start their gardening and renovations now. From little things like fixing the roof or shed, to major one like us.
After our bathroom the whole circus moves nextdoor to start work on their flooring of the annex attached to the caravan.

Camping is topsport you know :roflmao:

Well, we have made some huge progress. We had a week off to really get something done and this coming weekend we will be checking the piping and see if it's all waterproof underneath the caravan. If that is the case the side boards & flooring will be closed and they will start installing the sanitation thingy's.

Meanwhile, the bathroom itself has been build & tiled. I will have some more pictures after this weekend. Hopefully.

Outside walls are still open & need to be insulated and the electrician still needs to wire the place...

Felt like Keith & Scotty could walk in any minute and start on the "waterproofing" LOL

Looking good, I hope it all goes to plan. We have had a set back with the shower we had fitted earlier in the year when there was a leak from the pipe going into the shower bar. The plumber had four attempts to cure it, just tightening the joint, changing the washers and adding extra washers but within day is was leaking again. Finally he changed all the threaded pipes going into the shower bar and we have been good for over a week now. If it stays leak free it would suggest there was something like a hair line crack in one of the threads and, of course, it got worse each time they disturbed it. Just shows how annoying the the small things can be.

Hopefully your installation goes to plan, I think we were just unlucky.

We still need to finish the window frame, the door frame, paint the door and put on the new handes but it is finished so far. On the photo's you can not see the glass wall for the shower enclosure yet because they were not allowed to come back into the after placing that. Drying time thingy. So I owe you that one.
I am sooooo happy with this. I never had a bathroom this beautifull, social housing is not luxurious you know.
This is out first big project in our caravan so now we will have to save money for the next big project; the kitchen

Anyhew, let me know if you like it thus far.

I am so frigging proud of my sweetheart & the neighbour. They don't have any experience at all in this. The only advantage they had is that he use to be a plumber and had a technical eductaion. But building a bathroom from scratch.
The only trade we hired was a tiler who gave us a good deal on it since we had allready bought the tile.

Photo's with the showerwall will come sometime next week or so. Now it's cleaning up rubish time.

Final photo's for this year. We've been back to check if everything is still allright and I took the chance to take some final shots. The main work is finished now. The only thing left are the details, the cosmetic things. Deco frames, bits & bobs to make it look nicer and what I do best,....shopping for accesoires! Yaaaayyyyy! Finally! Can't wait 'till they start on the kitchen LOL
But first the "team of DIY-giants" are moving back to the neighbours now. They want the flooring in their annex changed and mouse proof. That is priority now.
Anyhew, it's getting to cold to do anything, we will have to wait till spring now. But the shower wall is up and the bathroom is finished so far!
Wóóóóhóóóóttt!

The outside walls of the bathroom are finished aswell, we just need to do some bits and pieces now.
We had started work on the bedroom also but for now we have to take a break. During holiday season it's not allowed to do DIY or any form of reno. And since the corona pandemic people tend to spend their holiday rather in their own country so the camping is booked to the very last spot.

The frames/corners are on aswell, I just didn't take any photo's of those. The panelling you see is made of some sort of plastic. We have the same on our bedroom wall. Just in a different texture and color but the material is the same.

I pimped the kitchen, it's going to be some years (depending on the finances) before we can relocate that one. The plan is to make a corner kitchen relocated to the front of the caravan. It will partly be located against the bathroom wall (see pic above) and partly against the backwall of the caravan. We will also relocate the heater. It will be a huge projec, maybe bigger then the bathroom since we need to get in a specialist to relocate the gaspipes and such.

Untill then I just painted the old kitchen over. I couldn't bare looking at that 70ies wood any longer.....
I painted the kitchen over and changed the handles.

Old situation picture above, new situation pictures below. Just sanding, primer, a layer of paint and some new knobs on the cabinetdoors.
