somebody just put some conies on for stew and wishing he had some potatoes, enough to make a fictional character very upset, don't you think?Seriously spooky!
I really like the Dude 2 and SuzyQ 2, but the Poser rigging was a deal-breaker.
Oh, it's worse than that. The original split came with DS4. I don't remember which version Poser same out around the same time, but I think it may have been 8 or 9. At that point, both companies adopted weight mapped figures, but they adopted incompatible systems of weight mapping. A few months later DAZ came out with the DSON work-around so Genesis 1 (& later, 2) could be used in Poser. I understand that it was hit-or-miss, but it was better than nothing.
Then with Genesis 3 DAZ abandoned their own Triax rigging system and adopted dual quarternion (sp?) rigging, which is used in other parts of the industry and is not proprietary. DSON doesn't work with it. Someone else has a script which converts Genesis 3 back to Triax so it can be used in Poser, but since the dual quarternion system doesn't belong to DAZ there is nothing to stop Smith-Micro from using it too. But they haven't shown any signs of choosing to.
These are a few figures, old and new, that I have created over the years.
