Todays Weather where you live?

Just found this forum, what a variety of weather/temperatures!

Where I'm from it very rarely rains/snows. We've had less than 5 inches this last year. But cold? We do that. It's supposed to be like 9 or 10 Fahrenheit tonight. Maybe in the 20s during the day. And lots of wind.

Well... If things keep going the way they are, the ocean may come to the mountains...
That’s why I’m building a submarine... I’m starting to think that I might have to switch from cardboard as the primary construction material... it seems to get soggy in water.
The first submarine was made of wood... cardboard is wood pulp... I don’t see why it doesn’t work.
Mountains are great... it’s always better to end up in the mountains, as opposed to ending up in the ocean... especially with the sharks... they are cute and all, but the biting can be annoying.
But when the Ocean comes to mountains, I may be in trouble too.
Okay, the Jura is higher than the Vosges, where I was before, and the Alps are just around the corner, so Mont Blanc will be maybe my next goal to live :whistling:

45F here, but sunny! 27? I just don't think of your area as being a cold zone. Hmmm. I know desert can get cold at night, though. Extreme radiational cooling because of low moisture in the air.

In most years the winter lows here get down to -1 or so at least once or twice. Radiational cooling is part of it. Elevation is another. Put them topgether and the lowest winter lows and highest summer highs often have a difference of over 110F between them.

WOW, all of those, especially that first one, would make wonderful greeting cards. :)

Thank you.
I would like to take photos from a better angle, but not easy with an almost 30 kg excited dog on the leash with you :D
Yesterday it did not stop to snow.
However , later in the late afternoon, when I was again out with him, I could manage to take some close ups . I really love here the blue light.
The sun was almost gone behind the mountain, it has some mystic touch.

I could manage to catch a photo from my window kitchen with the moon. Strange angle, but was not easy to get her without to drop my self out from the window LOL
Looks so peaceful in the snow this beautiful landscape :)

In my part of France, daylight started with plenty clouds, then they were torn and the sun came.
After a great sunny morning, we are now (2:31PM here) under the wind since almost 1 hour. More back of clouds.

We had here yesterday mix between clouds and sun in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Cold 0°-2°. No snow, but still enough from the day before.
I got yesterday evening from a friend who lives in the Vosges/Loraine impressive photos via whats up. Covered in snow too, but more sunny than here in the Jura.
The whole next week looks messy so far

Snow! :cautious: It's mostly gone, except on the cars in the driveway! I'm hoping the sun will be out tomorrow and melt it away. Or at least soften it so it slides off easily.

I'm more placed near the middle of France, less than 1 hour from Clermont-Ferrand now I think - I moved last month, and I don't come from Clermont, so not exactly sure of the time to go lol
We have hills, plenty hills here. If we are lucky, snow for Christmas, which I expected in vain for many years in my previous town.
We have the cold, but just rain. Probably not all things to create snow for the moment.

Often Vosges have great photos indeed!

This is a beautiful area. I know not much from there, only when we drive thru, but what I could see is really nice.
I loved the Vosges. So fairy like , mystic . We do a lot of randonnée there.
The Jura is more harsh. Like I said before, more Gothic LOL.

Here is currently ugly. Snow melt and freeze. The side streets are like mirrors :cautious:
So what you can see, people walk on the street like sailor on a ship with heavy sea, or dancing ballet. :whistling: Really no fun.

We have 33°F here right now and it's supposed to go down to 30°F later. Tomorrow they're predicting a mix of Rain and Snow in the evening. That means messy slush, but not much of an accumulation. It is going to be cold, so it'll probably freeze up over night.
