The high here will be warm for Christmas tomorrow: 60F or 15.555556C.
We STILL haven't had our first snow of the season, It spat snowflakes for a while yesterday morning but they didn't last long and only stuck a little bit to cars and such.

We are, amazingly, having a white Christmas for the first time in probably 17 years. Snowed today and it'll definitely still be there in the morning. Just a few inches, but enough to be lovely!!

All we're getting tonight is rain, but the temps are dropping, so it's going to be cold the next couple of weeks for sure.

There’s a French Canadian song that says, “Mon pays c’est ne pas un pays, c’est l’hiver...” In English that translates to “My country is not a country, it’s Winter.”

Yeah... pretty accurate, I’d say. We’ve been under a severe cold warning since Christmas Eve. A “Polar Vortex” is causing this.

Polar Vortex was also a great band from Ottawa back in the 80’s.

...No, not really.

Oh lucky you! All we had was rain on Christmas Day, cold and frosty since then. Temperature was I think 1C today and the weather is supposed to be stormy this weekend.

I'm pretty sure our temps did reach 36c and then mid afternoon the thunderstorm hit right above our house! It bucketed down (lucky we had finished out lunch by then as we had it outside). Even my dog who normally is not fazed by the thunder was practically sitting on my shoulder as I was lazing on the couch (pretty big feat for a dog the size of a Husky/Belgian Shepherd cross :p)

:) I was wrong - last White Christmas here was 2008 or so. Doesn't happen very often. Got about 2 1/2-3 inches :)

It's a bit warm here for December. Low of 25 projected for tonight, high of 62 tomorrow followed by a low of 27 and then an high of 70. This is December, almost January?

White Christmases are very rare here. We usually have one or two snowfalls before hand which melt off before Christmas arrives. Then a few more afterwards.

Oh fun! Just checked Morecambe on your link Terre! Sunday: Light wind/rain, 49/41 F, 90% precipitation, wind WSW 26mph, 80% humidity. Possible thunderstorms on Monday and Wednesday. Cool! So that's definitely no white Christmas then!

It was around 22ºF today, and we had a light dusting of about 1" of snow, though mostly on grass, plants and cars. The streets and roadways are clear.

Tomorrow, however, is supposed to see a high of only 18ºF, and a low of about 10ºF with higher winds, so definitely going to feel a lot colder. ~brrrrrrrrrr~
