LOLI'll tootling off to town soon, it's shopping day. My mate, Dave, rang me when my phone was muted and when I called him back he answers with "Dave's Taxi Service". Not to be outdone I replied "Joycie's Beck and Call Service here". One all, I think
Nice to have people you can joke with like that.
There was an older man (now retired) who worked at the store for several years after Furrs closed. When running the register that had the phone by it BEFORE he picked up the receiver he'd often say "Dave's Bar and Grill. How may I help you?" What made it funnier is that he's a Baptist minister. LOL

It sure is fun to have friends like that, Terre! When he picked me up today we were swapping crazy dream stories...he told me mine weren't dreams, they were marathons I said they were fully scripted movies that I sometimes didn't get to see to the end cos people will ring me up or message me and I miss the finale! Not looking at anyone in particular
Had a great day ashore. Shopping; followed by visiting; followed by more visiting and wine and cheese and dinner; followed by MORE visiting on the way home in the dinghy. A mad social whirl which will probably be followed by a week where I see no-one! Such is life at sea

Afternoon everyone Another nice day in Opua albeit with clouds. But some good news! First was my sister telling me my niece and fiancée have signed a lease on a two bedroom house in Kingsville in Melbs and have invited me to stay for my visit in August/Sept. So nice of them and I'm looking forward to my trip again Second, my tablet cable has arrived, all I need do is go for a walk and fetch it. As I'm getting book withdrawal symptoms this has made me very happy. So my weekend looks sorted
