The Anchorage, Part 3

Yep...even done sessions where the kids make the slime...doesn't always work well and we can't do the borax versions without a risk assessment.

I'm actually part of a program called Scientists in Schools. I have a vet partner who comes in and does things with the kids.

hahahaha I'll put it down to not sleeping well the last couple of nights but that last line had me cracking up Pen :p

I think I've seen too many horror movies where evil scientist (vet) does things to victims (kids)

You can but it's cheaper and easier to make your own. I use the recipe off the cream of tartar package...it's the cooked version as it lasts longer. Basically just flour, salt, cream of tartar and small amount of cooking oil plus food colouring. The kids love it and we use it for fine motor activities. Good fine motor means good handwriting amongst other things.
Well that certainly sounds easy enough. :)

Afternoon all! A glorious Northland Anniversary weekend has seen me almost alone here. So many boats out in the Bay enjoying the weather and warm water. As a bone fide hermit this pleases me muchly :)

And yesterday I finally got my computer set up after weeks of 'meh'. It's taken me a very long time to settle after all those house sits and the wedding. Looking forward now to another six weeks before I take care of the fluffbum again and then! SIX MONTHS! Six months on the boat! I have not had six months in a row on my boats for years and years. Just the thought is making me smile as I sit here and type :bounce:

Hey, @Terre all the best with your new boss!

And @Pendraia :sorry: you have to go back so soon

Hey Boss Lady! Nice to hear from you! We were beginning to think you'd set forth into the wide blue yonder in search of.......err!......things you search for? Not much news from the dark side apart from the fact that....(Newsflash!) Morecambe has had snow! Yep! It actually snowed today just long enough to cover everything in a thin, white layer. Just after that it turned to sleet and shortly after that to rain which is busy washing it all away! Strangely we haven't heard a peep from the Met Office but what the heck! I can finally stand tall and thumb my nose at all those softies down London way who have been moaning about not being able to go out because they didn't want to get their BMW's wet!

Enjoy your herming! :sun:

I'm happy (I think) that you had some snow, Myth, but I'm happy (I know) that this frightfulness cannot envelope mon bateau! Might be gonna have a swim this arvo, depends on whether I can get enough energy to climb out of this chair ;)

Did some more putering this arvo. Made a nice scene with Pen's Deidre wearing the Vintage Rose dress; she looked SO PRETTY! Anyway, was attempting a render and at 14% in 25mins I gave up. I need to use DS default shaders on the hair methinks and ditch the Uber lighting. It came with the Streets of London and it needs way more time and petrol than I own!

Hi Lorraine!

Not too bad apart from being a bit slippery underfoot. If Lucy had made the snowball she wanted she'd probably have cleared the street!

Really looking forward to Deidre so in the meantime I've been occupying myself with Dusk (YEH! At last!). Mostly spent all day trying to fit his combat boots inside a pair of dynamic skintight jeans from Frequencies Classic Goth set and failing miserably despite endless simulations. But are we downhearted? Well yes! But I shall forge on regardless!

Have fun in the sun! :)

My boat basil went ballistic so I made boat pesto :)

I'm thinking tomorrow I may walk to the Pizza place across the Boulevard, and pick me up some too. ;) Assuming, of course, It doesn't snow. They're predicting Snow Showers tomorrow, though that doesn't necessarily mean a steady snow, so it may not accumulate much. We shall see.

Yum Lorraine...that looks good! Not sure what we're having for tea but I got home to the smell of just cooked pizza's as my daughter had made herself some little mini ones for her tea.
