Thanks for the link Satira, I just read it. That's horrible, and my sympathy goes out to those who lost loved ones.

No problem Pen. I tried to access it by typing in the web address which took me to their homepage with all the headlines and leads but when I clicked on any story link they all redirected to the subscription payments page. Understandable if its an online only newspaper but when every decent 'paper in print also offer a free web news site it seems a bit futile!

Back in '80 people called Reagan a War-monger during the campaign claiming he would start WW3. He didn't.
I don't take election hype at face value as a result of that. Instead I just sit back and see what any new president actually ends up doing. You'll find life easier if you do the same as the result is never any where near as bad as the president's opponents during the election claim it will be.

Good morning. :)

Short work week this time. Less for me to do than usual do to the sale of the store. I'll be really busy this weekend after the new owners are in place.

"Oh I do like to be besides the seaside,
Except when it's raining like today.
Oh I would like to walk along the prom, prom, prom,
But it's pouring down, tiddly-om-pom-pom!"

"Break out the embrocation Ethel, me kneecaps are going all rusty!"

Evening all! Good fortune with the sale Terre. Time to relax, sit back and watch the new guys try to figure things out! :coffee:

You make your own play doh? Can't you buy it already made? I thought that was sold in toy stores, but it's been decades since I've had to buy anything for children.

You can but it's cheaper and easier to make your own. I use the recipe off the cream of tartar package...it's the cooked version as it lasts longer. Basically just flour, salt, cream of tartar and small amount of cooking oil plus food colouring. The kids love it and we use it for fine motor activities. Good fine motor means good handwriting amongst other things.

Nice training. I know I used to have decent handwriting (for a male) but those skills atrophied slightly because everything is digital.

Yep...I sometimes wonder how much they need more than basic handwriting as most people don't even do notes the old fashioned way but use their phones. However handwriting as a process actually helps with setting up certain pathways in the brain to help remember stuff amongst other things.

Lovely idea Pen! When I was a kid I spent countless hours playing with Plasticine and produced my very first artistic endeavors which I'm convinced helped me in later life. In fact I still do on occasions and always have a couple of kilogram packs around for when I get the urge to 'play'. Lucy has caught the bug too and loves making stuff with her moulds and shape-maker. The only thing that bugs me is that after all the years it's been around, why hasn't somebody figured out a way to get it out of the darned carpet! :please:

LOL...I found preen carpet stain remover helps with stains of any sort at school not sure if you have it where you are.

The kids love to play with play doh...it's also useful on wet day timetable days.

Another fun idea Pen! Have you ever made Slime? Easy-peasy to do but don't make the same mistake I did and show the kids! I ended up living in something resembling a swamp for a while until mom put her foot down and threatened to banish us all to the garden shed!
