She's scratched several spots raw on a leg and on her throat. We've no idea what's going on, but the vet did a culture for ringworm when she saw Tsuki Friday. It may take a couple weeks to get the results, although positive results are usually pretty quick.
She gave her an antibiotic two weeks ago and started her on a three month round of Revolution which provides protection against fleas, heartworm, hookworms, roundworms, and ear mites. Even though we saw no evidence of fleas (and Tsuki doesn't go out), that could still be a problem.
She actually doesn't do that bad with the collars ... at least after the first night. But I also discovered that first night folding it back over her body still keeps her from scratching those areas and lets her move around easier. Poor thing had got stuck in the kitchen that first evening because the collar kept snagging on the side of the doorway. Took her awhile to figure out she needed to move more into the center of the doorway rather than hugging the opening. Folded back though, she can get as close to the doorway as she wants without it snagging.
