Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, we do not have liftoff, we do not collect $200, we sit sad-faced cos it was the power supply all along So on Monday a new power supply will be sent from Auckland and we'll try again. Sigh.

Sorry to hear it needs more fixing Lorraine, but it'll be "new" when it's all done.

It only needs a new hard drive and it'll be an entire upgrade Shannon's not worried that we replaced stuff that didn't need replacing...he says I will so love the upgrade I will be in DS heaven

So he is packing up now to head home and will be back when the power supply arrives.

Morning all! It was a bright sunny day an hour ago but the clouds have rolled in and it's looking pretty grey instead now. But it's of no consequence to me as I have a full day on the computer planned. Not my computer though, sadly. Shannon came over yesterday and he's taking the computer home with him to install the power supply when it arrives. We watched a cool dvd last night about the making of Apocalypse Now...I admire Eleanor Coppola so much, I'd have batted Francis over the head with a 4x2 and thrown him into the jungle! But before the dvd we had an invasion of the Cuckoo's and much pizza. Joycie wasn't overly impressed with the four kids who kept wanting to pat her...poor love.

Two more sleeps here and I'm back on the boat, this time for five weeks! A lot is planned for those five weeks...fitting my new/old kitchen sink insert and brand new taps, putting up all my Ikea Fintorp rails and whatnots, some repainting, some work in and around the cockpit, and putting up some guttering on the loft roof to catch water. I'll be a busy bee!

I'm not usually bored on the boat, I have so much I can do...but ashore? That's a different kettle of fishes. Thank goodness Dave left me his laptop this time! Still champing at getting home but, I'm so excited about my reno's. That will probably last until I start wrecking things and I'll go "whose stupid idea was THIS?!!!!".

Hey...I'm feeling great as I've managed to fix the shorts for Diva in DS so they don't expose the crutch when the leg is bent. Fingers crossed that I can fix the underarms using this method also and we'll have lift off.

Except after posting that I stuffed it up and turned the tank top into blocks. So now I have to start again but I know what I'm doing this time. Fingers crossed.

OOPS! Fingers and toes crossed here too. I'm having trouble with the skirt of the Wilmap dress, it's got me beat at the moment. Going to leave it till I have my computer which I am happy to say IS GOING! Woohoo! Shannon took it home yesterday and the power supply was waiting for him, he fitted it and the same same happened, it wouldn't start. So he took out the ram and tested it all one at a time, all ok, put it all back in and this time it booted. He now doesn't know what was wrong with the computer to start with and thinks it was just being a dick! I'm taking the original power supply back out to him tonight and he's going to test it. But I get to bring my almost brand new computer home with me. Have a lot of program reinstalling to do as it blue screened as he expected with the new mobo and he reinstalled Win 7.
