Yay on the computer going! I now have a version of the tank that is working but everytime I save the shorts (which are working really well) when I load the new version it doesn't autofollow like the version I saved. Luckily I kept the shorts live in the scene just made them invisible for the moment but it's driving me nuts. I want to finish Deidre but I need to finish this first. Not to mention that I've finally worked out how to rig the mermaid tail and can't get to it...

That sucks! It's after I save the dress that I have the trouble too! It's like DS thinks they are a different item. Maybe there's a glitch in the saving as an asset algorithm in 4.9

And that would be a 'no'. Yes, I went to Ohaeawai and picked up the computer; yes, I brought it back to the house and started to set it up; no, I didn't switch it on because ITS POWER CABLE WAS STILL SITTING UNDER THE DESK AT OHAEAWAI!!! Shannon and I now believe that the computer made a conscious decision all those weeks ago to mess (another word is more appropriate here, but family website) with my head. It's done a very, VERY good job of it. I'll be returning to Ohaeawai tomorrow to retrieve it...my only thought: what does it still have in store for me :unsure:

Hey Satira :) Considering all that's left to replace is the hard drive, the brains of the thing so to speak, I think I should. I should remove any data I want to keep off it (mostly zips I think), remove said hard drive, replace with a brand new jobbie, take original and bury in garden covered in garlic. It's obviously turned to the darkside!

Bummer Lorraine...Computers are contrary beasts.

I'm wondering if this problem is being caused by a bug in DS4.9. I'm going to check if I have the latest version and maybe go back to 4.5 to save this, but it will now be tomorrow. To tired to do it now so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Morning all...coffee first and possibly also supermarket shopping also but I'm going to have a look and see if there is an update. I did find a thread on a lost dress over at daz which indicated that this could be a bug. If so I want a new version or I'll roll back to 4.8.

Hey everyone! Terre, I'm officially changing my computer's name to Frankenputer, Shannon will love it!

Good idea, Pen, I might do the same with my problem.

I'm not sure I'll be getting back to the boat today, there's a gale coming in from the northwest, the worst direction for heading upriver in a dinghy. I'll see how things progress during the day but I'm not holding my breath.

Yep might be the best way to go. I've exported my user data and I'm just copying this version to its own folder so it doesn't get overwritten and loading up the DIM to check for updates.

I'll let you know how I go...

bummer....still cold here but not raining like it was during the last week of term. Thank goodness...

Just finished checking...so far only updates are to the public beta. Just checked daz and there seem to be a few issues. I've got 4.5 installed so when I finish downloading the product updates I'll open it up and see if that works better with the clothing. If that doesn't work I'm going to uninstall 4.9 and reinstall 4.8 but I really don't want to lose the new capability in regard to morph creations.

Yes!! Not that I didn't think you would, Pen!

It's not so much unsafe as I just do not want to get my stuff wet...by either rain or seawater. And I could go out to the boat with just the necessities but I'd only have to come back ashore to fetch the rest and I do believe that by the time I get home, I'll be unwilling to come ashore for anything or anyone!

I was seriously thinking I would never get it to this point. So I'm hoping that my solutions are good enough. Just sent a new link to the testers...so check your pm's Lorraine and fingers crossed...

I understand totally not wanting to do it twice Lorraine.
