Power went down from 10pm to 3am, the wind was WILD! :) its 5.40am so I haven't been able to see how much damage if any because its too dark. It was nice yesterday up til about 5pm.

That sounds scary Rae...

@Seliah, that's one heavy door!

Its light now, just alot of cleaning up, only damage is shade cloth is off the back (not sure what to call it, from the back of the house to the fence we have rafters with shade cloth over them). The pool is full of palm leaves :p

Morning all! That rain I was talking about arrived, monsoon style! Not a lot of wind but a hella lotta rain. It's cooled off too. But not as much as where my sister is in the South Island, 1C/33F this morning. Blow that!

Don't envy you the cleanup, Rae :O

Not really a pergola, maybe a fernery might be the closet :p (tho I'm not a gardener)

I don't envy you your cleanup Rae!

Though, your fernery/relaxation area and pool sound rather cool. Nicer than a bare balcony

I finished cannibalizing the plant cage as well as ordering another pack of the wire shelving and I now have a 7 ft high unit in front of the balcony door. So far, it's keeping Tsuki from climbing up the screen. No matter where she is, the minute I open the balcony door more than an inch, she's scaling up the screen and hanging at the top ... pretty much out of my reach.

A wee bit of an Irish Diva. Freckles are mostly procedural, with a smattering of freckles on the Face map.

She is stunning Satira...how do you do procedural freckles or freckles on a texture? I've been wanting to make Deidre a pale skinned freckly(not too much though)girl like my daughter was. Sarah's a red head like her dad and my dad.

I used Blender Nodes and two Spot Nodes to create the Procedural Freckles.

I added a Blender Node and plugged everything that would normally be plugged into the Image Map into the new Blender Node.

Blender Node (BlenderNode):
Input 1 plugs into the Image Map (TextureMap)
Input 2 plugs into another Blender Node (ProceduralFreckles)
Blending set to 0.25

Blender Node (ProceduralFreckles):
Input 1 plugs into the first Spot Node (Freckles)
Input 2 plugs into the second Spot Node (Freckles)

I used colors picked off the image map for the Blender Node (ProcedureFreckles) colors and adjusted them until I was happy with the result.
After much trial and error, I settled on the colors to use for Spot Color on the Spot Nodes.

Cool...thanks for that! I'll have to see if I can do something similar in DS. Otherwise it will have to be texture based.

Oh, and Thanks Pen!

For freckles on the texture map itself, I downloaded a phlearn "freckles" brush
How to Create Freckles in Photoshop

Then I freckled a bunch of layers in Photoshop and added masks where I didn't want freckles.

I went the procedural route because it was going to be painful matching seams. The body freckles also need to be adjusted as they end up being a lot bigger than the face freckles. With the procedural freckles, you don't have to worry about seams and the freckles being different sizes. You can also add a mask to the Blender Node Blending output to prevent freckles where the Texture Mask map is black.

Thank you...I was going to have a play in Zbrush and see what I could do. I'm not sure that I want freckles all over the body as Deidre is aimed at being 3 and under. I was thinking of some on the face so it might be easier to play with the texture map. I'm thinking that the spot in DS is quite different to Poser's spot node.

Howdy, howdy! A coolish, breezy day here in Opua after the gale's gone through. The drive to the movies in Kerikeri last night was a wild one...monsoon rain, the road awash and visibility negligible. I'm really glad I loved 'Warcraft' or I may have chewed my son up a bit ;)

Love your Irish Diva, Satira, she's really beautiful.

It was really good, Pen, even though I didn't know the lore. Having Shannon there to whisper people's names to me when I didn't catch them was good. I did not like the 3d glasses as usual but hey ho. Shannon and me are going to Tarzan next week! He hadn't seen the trailer and was a bit "meh" when I first said about going. But the trailer at the start last night soon convinced him! I wanted to go opening night Thursday but he's a bit loath to go with the crowds so maybe Sat or Sun.

Glad you liked Warcraft, and I hate going opening night as well, though here it's on Fridays. In fact, I usually wait for the second weekend, and go earlier in the day.

I thought I would hate the 3D glasses when I went to see Avatar, but I tell ya, they weren't as bad as I thought. I remember those horrid paper/cardboard ones they had years ago, but these have regular shaped plastic frames, that look, and feel, like regular glasses.
