They were all great characters and I would love most of them in my own runtime! Great renders everyone!

I have to agree with Rae. I can't remember the last time we had such a wonderful collection of renders. Congrats to everyone who participated!

Congrats to the winners and placers -- and a big thank you to all who entered their work! Despite some bumps and confusion with rules, this was a fun challenge for me and, hopefully, for others. Maybe, now that rules have been ironed out, we can do it again some time.

I suggested this challenge to help show how the HW figures are nicely morphable (even if I wish they had more morph options, ha! I whine about that a lot, I know.) I like these figures and want to see them get more recognition and support, so I figure challenges highlighting these sorts of features help a little bit.

Anyway, for the DAZ Studio users I'm sharing the morphs for Carol for Dawn, the Toony Dude for Dusk, Sammy for Baby Luna, and Petunia for Dawn. (Petunia is the elf dial character I posted but ended up not entering.)

You can download them here: https://www.redeyecat.com/rec_hw-dial-contest-morphs.zip

Commercial use in renders and animation okay.

These will show up in the parameter dials under REC rather than as injection duf files as a shaping preset.

Or they should if I did this right, it's the first time I've tried to share shaping dials rather than presets. If I screwed up, please let me know so I can fix this. :)

The morphs needed were all listed in the original posts, but if you have these commercial and freebie morphs, you should be good to go:

HiveWire Products: Dawn Starter Morphs, Dawn Head Shapes, and Head Morph Resource Kit for Dawn, Dawn Body Shapes, RawArt's Hero and Muscular Mini Morphs, Sculpted Dusk, Dusk's Head Resource Morph Kit, Dusk Starter Morphs, Dusk's Body Shapes, Dusk's Head Shapes, and Baby Luna's Head Shapes

Freebies:

Dawn Nose Morphs - Dawn Nose Morphs - DAZ Studio - ShareCG (CU OK, per comment from creator in comments)
23 Faces for Dawn & More - 23 faces for Dawn & more - DAZ Studio - ShareCG (CU OK)
Eye & Lip Morphs 4 Dawn - eye & lip morphs 4 dawn - DAZ Studio - ShareCG (CU OK)
Dawn Face & Body Morphs - dawn face & body morphs - DAZ Studio - ShareCG
Baby Luna Smooth - Baby Luna - Smooth

Now I wish I used the most current version of DS. Unfortunately, I stopped upgrading after the original 4.0 Pro I got years ago.

Anyway, thank you Michele for these great freebies, as I'm sure there a good many DS users who are going to love them.

I wish there was an easy way to transfer the dial settings between DS and Poser. I miss the ease of the old days of swapping characters between the two programs.

The dial settings are included with my entries of course so if someone wanted to recreate them in Poser, please feel free to do so. I'm happy to share them with all!

Back in the day when I was using DS exclusively, I was mostly using Poser compatible products, so no issues there. It's only the old .dsa files I couldn't use in Poser, and now with the newer .dsf and .duf files, I haven't a clue how to transfer them. That's especially true for the .duf files, as that format was introduced with DS 4.5, IIRC, which I don't have. Oh well. I just never got into the newer Genesis figures, so never bothered updating.

In any case Michele, thanks again for making them available. the little elf Petunia (love that name) you first posted is adorable. ;)

Thank you for the morphs and the Freebie links! That is one of the things I like best about this contest - learning about what morphs are available and where to get them.

It takes a bit of math (or Excel), but if you have the written dial settings for DAZ Studio, divide that percentage setting by 100, then multiply the result by 100.

Congratulations to all the other contestants!! A lot of really great characters! Is there a way to download this whole thread as a pdf, to have the morph recipes to have as a pdf book? Since I am learning how to combine morphs to create my own characters, I would like to really look in depth at each of these character's ingredient morphs and how they are mixed.

Will we be contacted about how to claim prizes? I didn't see anything mentioned about how that works in the opening post.

Satira, thanks for that info on converting DS values to Poser! You're right in that Carol for Dawn will look different without the free morphs, which are DS-only. The b_face_8 dial makes a significant difference in her face; that set of free morphs really alters Dawn's face. But maybe some will find the remaining dials useful for a start in building their own older female character.

And I realize I hadn't included the dial settings for little Petunia. I think her name suits her too; she all but named herself (if only Toony Dude for Dusk would have been as considerate!)

Petunia uses the HiveWire commercial morphs sets for DawnSE (Starter, Head Shapes, Body Shapes, Head Resource Kit) along with a little bit of RawArt's Muscle mini morph. I'd also used Ken's Narrow Shoulders for Dawn in the previews but that's not required. It just looks a little nicer imo.

Good idea Michele. I've never thought to post that info in the original render challenge announcements, but probably should do so.

In any case, I just PM'd Lisa to ask her, as you may have to get in contact with her, but I'm not sure what info you need to give her.

Thanks, Miss B!
OK Michele, and to all of our winners, I heard back from Lisa, and she said you should choose the prizes from the HiveWire 3D category that is linked in the first post on Page 1 of this thread, put the items you choose in you cart, and then email Lisa at lisa@hivewire3d.com when you are ready. Once Lisa gets your email, she will take care of it for you.

Oh, and Lisa also mentioned, which I forgot to mention in my earlier post, please give her the email address you use for logging into the HW store when you email her.
