Hey Linda...check your multi-man. My smart content has updated itself, and includes a lot of new entries, and the Yussef hair and beard are now showing in the menu properly. Maybe your multi-man is fixed, or will be fixed soon :)

Hey Linda....guess what...hehe. Tip: The LAMH hair renders fine in 3Delight, but doesn't' show at all in iray...so I guess that's why folks are saying that the plug-in doesn't work in the new version of Studio....it's not that exactly....it's just that it doesn't show up in iray. My uneducated guess would be that the hair is too fine to be detected during rendering, same way very fine hair looks odd in Poser superfly renders.

Cute.
If you want LAMH to render in Iray you have to export it as an obj. Or if its one of AM's animals he usually has a Catalyzer version which makes the process easier. The Catalyzer is availble for purchase at Daz, on sale at the moment.
Exporting to obj is resource intensive and can take a while.

Thanks tparo for the explanation. I found that out while using the Lord of Snow fur cape. You also have to reexport every time change the pose.

I had fallen off to sleep. Thanks for the info Tparo! I would never have figured that out on my own :) I'll try to follow the directions and figure out how to do it, since I enjoy fuzzy animals, and I do like rendering in iray. Creating a hair .obj definitely would be a coarser version of the LAMH version.

Yeah, just read through them, and found the Catalyzer...so that will be a big help when trying it out....thanks! Wonder if that's why I was having problems with the fuzzy spider...it was when I first started using Studio, and I remember I kept having trouble getting the body separated from the hair...wonder if I was selecting the wrong thing when I moved him around the scene (?)

Yeah, sounds like you have to get the posing just right before exporting. The process sounds similar to some things I tried doing in Poser, exporting hair in order to reuse it....same thing....have to select the hair, after posing, and export to .obj. I never tried it with fine, flowing hair....I was always doing wild, scraggly hair for toon characters.

Ugh, if it wasn't my dad's birthday, I wouldn't venture out into the rain. It's a stay in bed type of day...which is where hubby and dog are right now.

Oh I know, it's been so chilly and damp, that's why I have to take frequent blanket breaks...so that I don't lose ground with the improvement I've gained. Tomorrow the sun is supposed to shine....yipee! Then it will rain some more Monday and Tuesday I think :/

I'm just so tired of being tired. Someone needs to discover a cure for chronic fatigue. Or med that helps.

Dang it, MM & Bob still don't work for me. Odd they do for you. Go figure.

MM and Bob still may fix itself. I started leaving Studio up most of the time, and sometimes problems just fix themselves. It's amazing how the smart content has straightened out, overnight :)
