I used to love seeing the 2-3 types of poison dart frogs in the San Diego Wild Animal Park's butterfly aviary ... in a pretty little stream bed running well below the walk way.... they are so cute! I did wonder why/how they didn't escape, there is no netting OVER the stream.... anyway they are wonderful, can't wait to grab them up! :)

Man, oh man!

I can't get over how realistic your frogs are Ken! *totally gobsmacked*

And love that Giant Monkey Frog! Cutest darn thing with those "clown shoe" feet!

We can but try Ken. I always try to include a list of the products used and where they come from. Someone's bound to see the light eventually and find out what they are missing! :)

here is the DS frog error... (in Carrara)

Someone else had trouble exporting the Frog via .dae Collada. After hunting around I think I might have some of the issue resolved (and might pertain to the Carrara issue too). The Poser .dae export issue can be resolved turning off SubD or setting it a "0". While I haven't tried it yet, I'd venture a guess that resaving the frog with SubD turned off in DS and then trying to load it into Carrara would work

I probably could say "where" each model came from in the gallery but it's bad manners (in my opinion) for the creator of a product to state where to get that product on a competitors' website. I'm grateful they allow me to post my images at all. I'm sure the marketing departments at Rendo and DAZ are none too happy about my posting my product renders in their galleries.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem for Carrara. Still the same error message.

I'm stunned that they actually let you. They've always been soooo "particular" about which images are allowed up in their galleries, I never posted any all the years I was a member there.

I'm sure my success is due to me posting art rather than blatant product promos, and secondly keeping the text about art (and field guide notes) rather than the product and where you can get it.

Sorry that didn't work. I was able to load the frog into Carrara via my imported Poser Runtime-- I would have tried the DS files but can't figure how to get the DS libraries into Carrrara (seems to only want runtimes)... my Carrara is ancient. Tomorrow I'll try again, first looking to see if there are any updates.

Oh I'm sure, but you were a very popular PA there, and for those of us who knew you then . . . I don't know, it just seems strange. Then again, you were more commonly known as SongBirdReMix, rather than Ken Gilliland, back in the day. ;)

You need Carrara 8.5 to open DUF files.. Just in case you have an earlier version.

The poser version loads fine :)

I just "quietly say" (HW) or (DAZ) in my notes for over there... they seem to allow that fine.

Daz don't seem to have a problem with hivewire products in their gallery or anywhere else, there have been a few times when Hivewire products have been used in images that won competitions in the members forum and were therefore used in the newsletters, as Ken states showing respect does count but this theory that they won't allow any mention or site of a Hivewire product is a a bit far fetched.

I'm fairly sure I have Hivewire products listed in my gallery images and not had any issues also.

I always list products, but the only online gallery I currently have is at Renderosity, so I doubt there's any problems there, as I always list all the DAZ products when I'm rendering with V4/M4 and like characters, and their clothing, if the clothing was purchased at DAZ.

The only difference there is, you were able to link to any products bought at Renderosity, but they've changed the gallery upload page so I just list them along with the others in the description area.
