You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. I am SO glad you're back!

My new machine has Office, but I need Internet access to activate it so I am using Works. I can save it to an office document, though. It's not very large, only about 400KB right now. I could probably upload without zipping it.

I'll see about getting that in the next couple of day...

Thanks for volunteering!

As you can see, the manuscript is probably full of errors. I tend to type without paying attention when the juices are flowing....

Ditto that, rokket. If you still have my email, send it. It will be a first. I've never read a super-hero story in novel form before.

400kb is a good size, depending upon your fonts selection and size. Whenever you're ready. I think Miss B and Me have some talent. If you read my description over at the Super Hero Contest at renderosity, you know what I can do and more importantly, how I think.

The stories I grew up with regards to Super-Heroes are nothing like I what I read back in the day. Thankfully, A few writers remember but still have a tight grip on Today's subject. The audience has grown older as well. I can tell you the latest movie, "Batman vs Superman; Dawn of Justice had a LOT more adults than kids. But then, so did the new Star Wars movie.

Yet something's never change or should. I should stop. It's not good to give a lecture when you're already 70 pages in!

Rob, I think I still have your email, I'll have to check. But you should be able to download it from this forum, I intended to upload it here.

There is another guy who is an avid reader and he's got the first 30 or so pages. He likes where I am going with it, but where I am in the story is that Green Lightning is at full power (his powers took awhile to manifest), and he's had two confrontations with Blaze.

Things are about to get interesting... I'll put it up here in a few hours. It's lunchtime where we are. I have about 4 more hours of work to go.

I'll get it up if the ship's computer lets me.

I'll download and read it too if that's ok, Rokket :)
Absolutely! The more eyes on it the better. Everyone will see something different.

And don't worry about hurting my feelings. I have thick skin, and if I didn't want feedback, I wouldn't post it.

I am going to attempt to do it in a couple hours from this posting. The last time I tried to upload something from the ship's pc's it didn't work. So hopefully this time it will. If not, I'll figure out something else.

Wish me luck with the upload...

Oh, and I have to post a disclaimer: the story contains adult language and some adult situations. I didn't go full on romance novel, but there are a couple of mentions of doing the deed...

My CD-RW disc decided to die on me. I will have to get another one from our IT guys in the morning. Sorry folks. I can't use flash or thumb drives on gov't pc's, so CD is the only way I can go. The one I had wouldn't format so I had to throw it away.

Tomorrow I will attempt to upload it. I hope that works. I may ask the IT guys while I am in there to see why I couldn't upload a jpg here.

No, there are some silver linings in those clouds. I realized I could take the evaluation copy of Microsoft Office off my computer because I still had a copy of Office 2007 in my stuff. I installed that and then used the phone to activate it. I converted the Works file to Microsoft office and it cut the size in half. It also formatted it and gave me a ton of corrections to make.
The only problem is that sometimes the grammar rules in Office are a bit wonky. And it doesn't do format suggestions like how to use quotes when people are talking. I know there were rules about that when I was taking creative writing classes, but it's been more than 30 years since I was in school. I don't know if I am messing that up or not...

I will get that CD-RW tomorrow and hope I can upload this story. If not, I will have to figure out some other way of getting it to you very nice people...

Well word is good for spell check but I do have to overrule it sometimes. Its like using Google Docs, combined with Google Drive for the phone. It's free, and is a better word processor than Word for your Smartphone. I do a lot of writing on my Smartphone. It's only weak when using personal pronouns. For instance I have a heroine named AnnaBelle. It sometimes changes her name to Anabelle and Annabelle. I know the latter is correct but I want the first spelling. It's great with apostrophes, the usage of than versus then and leaves the use of quotations to me. If you need a quick refresher regarding when to use quotes, I have a link for ya if you want. Warning, it's made for Americans. The Yanks use certain words, grammar and spelling a bit differently than the queen. How to Use Quotation Marks

What? Did you cut away just as they were about to kiss to a crackling fireplace? Was a saxophone suddenly playing in the background? I think cutting away to snow falling is another way...

Or did you mention it as an insult? Great! Now I have to know! :sneaky:

Oh if you think the "Yanks" (in general) do it different, you should try working with Yank lawyers for a few years, or better yet, some of the Yank proofreaders at law firms.

I can't count how many times I had arguments (actually shouting matches) with a proofreader that insisted the end quote ALWAYS went after the punctuation. Excuse me you idi**, but it only goes AFTER the punctuation IF THE WHOLE SENTENCE IS BEING QUOTED!!!!!

Sorry for the rant. ~shakes head~

To quote myself, that last part about an insult was meant for my pal over at another thread. Sorry I got mixed up. Mea Culpa.:notworthy:

 I do love your passion, Miss B, I love good punctuation too.
I once did a favor for a would be budding author. I said I'd look over his story. It was only about a page or so.

A page of no punctuation, paragraph indentations, or even an extra line to separate the paragraphs. I kept thinking, 'did you even attend a single class of english?' I could forgive, slightly, if it was his second language but no he assured me that he grew up in Texas. I can't imagine that a lawyer who uses words for his living, could not know grammar and punctuation. That would drive me crazy!
