I am SO glad you're back!

A good rule of thumb. If it is a known Super Food like Kale or Broccoli it either has no taste or tastes horrible. That's why our BULLET mixer turned into a milkshake maker! Now then, who dares to complain about Milkshakes?
I actually like both spinach and broccoli but don't keep any on hand as it simpler and safer to just make food we both can eat.
Not going to complain about milkshakes. :D

I was just going to say if the milkshake's vanilla or chocolate, I won't turn it down, but food shakes? Not so sure. Besides, I happen to like Broccoli. Kale, not so much.

Foodshakes with kale can be nice...I use lots of berries and either natural yoghurt or banana with it and it tastes lovely. You can't really taste the kale.

A long day turned into several in a row. it's 6pm here, and we have to go back out in a couple hours. It's raining here.

By the by, the pink eye wasn't pink eye. I got some dust in there or something. It's cleared up.

I have 60 pages written of my story now. Things are starting to happen plot wise. This thing is starting to take on a life of his own and tell itself. It's kind of cool.

I hope you get some decent time off soon.
Glad you eye has cleared up. Dust is a lot better than infections.
Story starting to write itself is something I've seen happen to several people. :)

Aside from the long day(s) part... it sounds like things are coming together for you. Very cool. :)

Yeah, I'm stoked about the story. I am seriously considering trying to get it published. I still have to find an editor. I may look at Rob's suggestion and get it done digitally. That way I can get the rewrite done faster. It's been a long time since I've written anything prose. I am sure I am making a lot of mistakes, but I am still having fun doing it.

That's the most important thing - enjoying what you're writing. :)

How do you get the editing done digitally? Are there sites or software or something that will do that now?

I am looking into it right now. I am guessing there are sites I can send it to and have the editing done.

Oh my goodness... it will cost anywhere from $1500 to $3000 to get my story edited. No thanks. I can't afford that at all.

I'll be going the friend route thank you very much. You, my other literary friends and me all have different idea's of the stories we wish to publish. That makes them and you prime choices in editing. I mean, what do you want in your editing? Grammar correction? They have software that will do that. What you want is someone who will point out plot holes, continuity errors and make suggestions without taking over your story or publishing their own version of said story a month before you do. They may be professionals and thus can command that money, but there are many who are talented and are not professionals and they may be happy to help.

Like the song said. "I get by with a little help from my..."

I contacted Amazon, and I don't think they will be any cheaper. I haven't written anything prose style in so long other than posting in forums like this. I know my grammar and punctuation are weak. There are some things software won't catch, such as punctuation and paragraph development around conversations. Plot holes, continuity errors and suggestions will definitely be from a friend. I don't need someone who doesn't understand the superhero canon telling me how to write about them.

By the way, who wants to read the first 70 pages, and how would I post it so you can?

I wouldn't mind reading it Rokket. What format is it in? IOW, what software are you using to write it in?

In any case, I think zipping it up and uploading it here or, if it's too large, to something like dropbox? Not sure what you have access to.
