I finally now know why my mats were not rendering correctly in Poser 12.
By default Substance Painter sets exports for normals in .png 16bits.
They have to be in 8bits. In 16bits Poser 12 flips the normals upside down.
Just a heads up for anyone else who uses Substance Painter.
A particular thanks to MEC4D for that :thankyou:
Glad to hear it wasn't anything hard to fix to get them working in P12.

Dawn 2 still under construction , the rigging going to change again.. not recommended to set up final clothing yet , since it just a base rig without any shapes or morphs and will not works with final release. Even for poses ..
All just for a temporary internal tests work and temporary fixations.
Also products for Dawn2 can't be sold before the official release, so no way they are available , unless Doug want to share some stuff to help Janet temporary cover the bones what is a different story.
;)

Yes. All that.

Most of my products will not be too affected by any rigging changes.
All my current clothing are dynamic cloth.
Then there are some smart props.
Then also my Cyborg Dawn are skins.
Only the boots would really need consideration.
It's more that they can't be sold before the official release :confused:

That is great Doug, lucky you, I need to wait ... for the final one as everything is rigging depending
the boots probably will be ok too since the issues was fixed.

Perfect! I already have an idea for using them. If I can figure out how to do dynamics with animation.
Sounds great. So, you are doing some animations for Dawn 2.0 and you are going to have a dynamic clothing outfit to go with the animations?

What type of animations? Because that might determine the type of clothing.
If it’s an exercise animation, we could go with a sportswear outfit.
If it’s a fighting animation, we could go with a superhero or ninja outfit.
If it’s just a walking animation, we could go with something like a summer dress.

Or how about long spilt dress for a jumping landing :rofl:

Different kinds of walks. There's tough, power, elderly, normal, a run, and a couple more.

Ok how did you do that animation with dynamic cloth? I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it.

Dynamic cloth is quite easy to animate. For that one;
At 0 pose I had Dawn 2.0 in zero pose (so you can load the dynamic cloth onto the character).
At frame 15 I had my starting pose (which was in the air).
At pose 60 I had the landing pose.

I then had the simulation set as follows;

Note in that simulation there are actually two dynamic cloths simulated.
There is the long split dress;

But under it is a body suit (the pantyhose - for modesty);

Yes, with Doug's products, there's always more than one piece, and each needs to be animated separately. Then all is good.
