looks col. If I may could I make a suggestion w/o offense?
I think the textures for the smaller narrower parts of the horse should be tighter with smaller fire veins and grow larger into the larger parts of the horse body similar to what is happening with my post of F4 above. I think it would look better with a modulation and fire "vein" sizes. Just my two cents but it is your project.

do you have a tutorial for the effect?

Its a merchant resource texture from Rendo (I'm not that talented to do a texture that elaborate with bumps :D) but if you google "lava effect photoshop" several pop up (even videos)

So had a thought this evening... here is a super quickie/early days WIP in Superfly of a White Stag! (And I mean really early, but you'll get the idea:) Aiming to add this to the Deer Family too. Will be great especially for more fantasy renders.

Looking at this work of yours again Laurie. The antlers and fur look amazing!!

This is going to go well with our Mountain Lion, Wolf and Bobcat. I wonder of a Bobcat can take down a deer? I'll have to look that one up and see.

Hey Ghostman, I don't know about an antelope, but I do know there is some kind of deer in the pipeworks :D (you can click on the link in the Quote to view it)
