You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. The dough gets pressed together where it crosses over, when it's soft before it's baked- the total thickness at the crossing points is not much greater than the thickness of the single strand. Does your modelling app let you do that?

YES, that's exactly what I was talking about. They are entwined around each other where they meet in the middle, which I didn't see in your screenshot above.

As for the street vendors, that's something you don't see much here in NY anymore, but years ago you could see them everywhere.

Oh, so THAT's how they do it.

Beer anyone? I still want to do this with a Cycles texture, but for the moment, I'm stumped on how to texture the labels in Cycles. I'll figure it out though.

I'm not necessarily a beer drinker, but I think lots of folks do, so should be quite useful.

I used to drink soda, but it's been many years since. I'm more a water drinker these days.

As for the labels, since they're solid colors with white text, it might not need much in the way of special Cycles materials.

Got a little more time on my hands these days.

So I started working on this again. Scary part is, this model is based on my local supermarket. Problem is, It looks a lot more like my local supermarket these days.

Other thoughts: I REALLY don't want to endure socialism in these United States.

I think I'd prefer a kilt, rather than naked. ;)

The check out counter's looking good, and I see you got a shopping cart done. Keep working on this project Earl, as it's coming along nicely.

I think I figured out a way to "populate" the store with products but without using many polys. Having some trouble though with texturing, as usual.
