Yes. I'd heard the Canadian immigration website crashed ... CNN confirmed that it had crashed due to a significant increase in the volume of traffic.

I'd looked into immigrating to Canada about ten years ago, but didn't really pursue it. So ... tonight I completed the immigration eligibility questionnaire. I qualify as a self employed artist. I didn't see anything for political asylum

I never thought about whether foods were toxic to cats with any of my previous cats. Sushi, as well as our dog Sniffer (he was a beagle / vizsla, hence ... sniffer), were allowed leftover food. She absolutely loved cheese (kraft/velveeta). Poor Sniffer had to stand there and wait until Sushi was finished, then he'd get to scarf done what she left.

Taeyn would only eat tuna fish. Nothing else was eatable in her opinion. Not even chicken. But with Tsuki, I always look up whether a food is toxic to or safe for cats before I let Tsuki eat anything. Not that she actually eats anything ... mostly she just licks it. She does love milk, ice cream, and gelato. I'll let her drink milk since I buy lactose free milk. (Cats often are lactose intolerant). I don't let her have more than a tiny bit of ice cream or gelato since she doesn't need the sugar.

This is probably the best way to know a cat person. They believe that their cat has an opinion and is most likely smarter than their human.

Of course, Satira is 100% correct. You don't own a cat. You live with one and you best listen to their opinion, buddy boy!

My day turned out better than expected with me sewing the squab covers for the boat plus the throw blanket for my lazyboy. BUT! my sewing machine died a death before I even got started! That's a cheapo Brother for you. I dragged Carole's ancient Singer out of the hot water cupboard and it sewed up all that fabric like it was brand new. Oldie but goodie!

Good morning. :)
I grew up with animals allowed to eat table scraps but since human nutritional needs and the needs of our pets are different my husband and I haven't been giving our cat people food other than as an occasional treat.

My mom had one of those Terre. Mine wasn't, but I haven't had mine for many years now. I wasn't into sewing all that much, as it meant I had to sit in front of the sewing machine to get anything done. I was more into any type of craft I could "take with me", like knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and the like.

I like saving money. My new squab and armchair covers have come to the princely sum of $61 for the dropcloth, needles and thread! Was going to take it all out to the boat today but the weather's crapped out. Never mind, I'll play on the computer instead...just two more days of unlimited power and internet then HOME on Sunday, woop woop!!!

Seriously sad news Lorraine! I've followed his work ever since Songs of Leonard Cohen way back when and spent many nights with his beautiful poetry and music which always managed to touch my soul in some way. I'm not afraid to admit I am actually in tears here. Another precious hero lost!

Very sad...

In regards to sewing machines I have 3...one is an old foot powered singer but unfortunately it no longer works. I also have a husqvarna quilting machine that I've owned for years and an el cheapo machine that belonged to my mother in law. Haven't bought a new one as the one I want costs way too much and I can't justify it....
