Emma Forester - Cyborg.jpg

Emma Forester (Dawn). This is from a scene that takes place somewhere in chapter 20 or so. The next few pictures are the characters from the novel. Do they look like you imagined?

Golden Girl Zoe Banks.jpg

Zoe Banks, Golden Girl (Jessi G2). I redid her costume because I wanted it to look way different than the costumes that Bobbi Medina created for John and Karen. Notice the similar background? Emma has Zoe in her sights.

Green Lightning Black Suit.jpg

Green Lightning/John Forester (Tyler). This is a costume change. He decides he has to go the vigilante route to get experience and training for the 'event' Zoe keeps telling him is coming. Since he is working at night, he had Bobbi darken his costume and change out the bulky gloves and boots that he no longer needed to control his powers. Here he is about to confront Emma.

Blaze.jpg

Blaze/Karen Sanders (Dawn with Tempestra3D morph Jenny). She wanted a costume to help John with the 'event'. Since Zoe was the only superhero she knew, she had Bobbi create a costume the borrows on Golden Girl's themes. You can't really tell from this render, but she is not touching the ground.

Bobbi Medina.jpg

Bobbi Medina (Sydney G2 with face room morph and full body morphs). She is the costume designer and the closest John has been to loving someone. She normally wears jeans, but I didn't get a chance to make any for her. The jeans she has in Poser don't fit because I don't have the pro version with all the neat tools.

One note I forgot to add on the Green Lightning black costume: this isn't just a different texture added to the old suit. This is actually the Man of Steel costume I had made sometime ago. I redid the piping to add the armor Green Lightning wanted Bobbi to add to his suit, and redid the UV mapping to get rid of some stretching and bad seams. I really like 3DSMax for that reason alone.

Oh man! It's almost 3AM and I can't sleep. I get bouts of insomnia from time to time. Gets worse as I get older. I hope I can get a couple hours before I have to go to work. And I hope work is a short, easy day so I can get some rest.

The worst part is, I can't get my mind to concentrate on my novel at all. I am wasting the lack of sleep...

Those costumes are looking good. Good luck on getting some rest.
Thanks Terre! I got about 2 1/2 hours. It's been a fairly easy day so far, but I don't see them knocking us off early. It's Friday, but there are things that have to be done. I think I'll go out tonight if I don't fall asleep in my chair and wake up with laptop keys pressed into my face...

I can't get used to being on land. It's not moving, so it doesn't feel right.

I just got back from the movie. I thought it was pretty good. I won't spoil it if someone was planning on watching it.

But I do think they need to rename it. Instead of 'Suicide Squad', they need to call it Harley Quinn's butt. The sure made sure the camera was on it at least once in every scene. Something for the boys, I guess....

Thanks for inviting me back rokket! First I would like you to know that second paragraph, second sentence assures I will see the movie. The last sentence, the first four words is from a silly musical that is a secret pleasure. Something for the Boys (1944) - IMDb

I used to be one of those boys, rokket. So were you.

This one is rather superb. I'm not happy about the dark lighting of the figure but I am lovin' the cyborg! It isn't what I imagined but it will be from now on. Did you make that background as well?

One of the first rules I read about design is not to fall in love with any design. Don't throw anything away but don't be afraid of a complete revamp from another point of view. I remember your initial design as well as his start. I must applaud this bold new direction. While he doesn't have the bright colors of the original design which is often used for good guys, he seems vastly updated as well. Pro's : The armor protects him from physical attacks, his identity is still well hidden, the helmet looks like a helmet rather than a cowl with the glass protecting him from the flashes of his own power. It looks quite original and lacks the outside underwear look (red panties on Supes) of yesteryear. Cons : I'm not sure you want to expose his neck and deltoids but that's a Forrester decision. There isn't an Icon. Perhaps the most difficult of all things. The S, the lightning bolt, the bat, the stylized W, the 4, a green clip art lantern, the star on shield and more are instantly recognizable. However, Thor has no real icon. The submariner, Thanos, Princess Projecta, Hyperion, Jack-in-the-Box and Crackerjack of Astro City, heck 90% of the heroes we grew up also have no Icon. Professor Xavier wheels around in a suit.

An excerpt from The Last Sunset, my heroines origin story states, "Now that others know my name, I can be blamed for things I never did." Fast forward to her future and she is instantly recognizable by half the galaxy and everyone on the planet which she resides. In other words, She is the icon and nothing else is needed. I'm sure you'll make sure that no icon is even needed.

Note : The background as a product idea. One of the vendors over at that other place called Powerage used to make "Live Architecture". Basically they were buildings with destruction morphs. I still look for these from any vendor out there as if you are making a graphic novel, destruction is a way of life. let me know if your buildings can be destroyed cuz you're still one of my favorite content creators!

I created the monitoring board and the bed she rested in. I didn't create the background. Its called Industrial Chamber, and since I am not on my computer, I forgot who created it.

Va-Va-Voom! Heroes tend to have perfect bodies unless they are Bouncing Boy or Matter Eater Lad and there is nothing wrong with showing off that perfection and can lend itself to some sexist humor. Nothing wrong with that either. That's real life. I like the design. I would go with gold rather than pure yellow but the artist has the final say and besides, it works for Wolverine! I especially like her circlet and collar. They are stylish and can be used as weapons.

Actually, by the time the story ends he will have an icon. I am still trying to figure it out because lightning bolts have been used to death. In the story arc, he has an idea what he wants and informs Bobbi that he wants her to work on it. That gave me time to come up with something.
Also in the story, he had his first major battle with Sonic and lost because he had to draw lightning out of the sky and knocked himself out. No more giving away the plot.

Well, one more thing: his father may be alive...

Thanks! It's made by Ravenous and is available on ShareCG. I have something like it but not it. I do have the Edge Challenger as I collect cars as soon as they are posted.
