A Place to lay my head...

I know what you mean, Miss B. I was just trying something, but it's not really working for me either. Even when I made some changes. Maybe I should just go plain on all the legs?

Well, at least on the chair legs. If you're determined to have them match with the table, then yeah, I would make them all plain.

I would also make the chair legs straight vertical. Every time I see chairs with legs at an angle I keep thinking they're going to break, that they're not sturdy enough.

Sorry, someone told you to angle the legs? I've seen angled legs on chairs, but not with such skinny legs. Try first to make them plain and lets see.

Looking good Earl. May I ask, is there a bevel in the middle of the table? If so you may want to remove that as I don't think a place setting is going to balance well on that. LOL

Are you talking about the bevel in the render on the previous page . . . the one where the table has a shiny top? I don't think this latest version has that.

I sort of see it on the top of the newly textured one above unless Earl is planning on an inlaid wood look to the final table texture! :)

AHA!!! I didn't notice that right away. I don't think it's a bevel though. Looks more like the texture didn't tile properly, but I could be wrong.

There's a "groove" in the table top. Something I was trying to see if it translated into a "design". The other way of doing it is to use a texture. I may just do away with it all together.

Took the groove out of the table since it obviously wasn't cutting it as a design. I need something else in that dining room though. Curtains, of course and ... chandelier?

Light source over the table for sure. Curtains are OK but Levelor blinds are more modern if you can do that.

I like the idea of the blinds, and of course some sort of lighting.

I also was wondering about 2 more chairs and a longer table, so the leaf for the table would be a good idea.

I also like frogimus' idea of a sideboard, perhaps in the space between the single window on the left and the first of the 3 windows behind Dawn.
