A Place to lay my head...

So I've decided to refocus my attention from clothing to props and scenery for Poser. I've been working on thing s from food porn to my latest obsession, a Bedroom for Dawn and Dusk to lay their weary heads to rest.

Also, I'm also trying to figure out what to include in the set. For example this is not a whole room. I'm willing to do one but then I'll feel obligated to build a whole house around it.:sneaky:

Start with the furniture. You can always build the room/house at later times.

I think the two walls with floor setup you have there looks just fine.

Maybe some electric outlets for those lamps to plug into? A stand-up armoire for storing clothes? Could do the doors as parented props and a rod inside; that would let people fill it up with clothes or anything else they might want.

A couple of simple chairs, since the bed is clearly a two-sleeper?

Maybe some shelves for the 3D people to put personal care items or decorative/sentimental things on?

Those are my initial thoughts. I like it so far. I really like the fact that it's not scaled up to be a huge mansion sized room, too. It already looks very nice. :)

Thanks, Pen.
So I've finished the chest which effectively makes this an eight piece furniture set.
1 bed
1 dresser
1 mirror
1 chest
2 nightstands (with 2 lamps)
2 picture frame

I'm still not happy with this room though. with everything crammed into the one corner and no windows, so I'm going to change the setting a bit.

Chest looks good Earl. I do see what you mean about the scene looking cramped.

I exported the bed to Poser just to see what if looked like. I don't have PP 11 yet, so I couldn't see what it would look like in Superfly. Guess I'll have to find someone with Superfly to test it out for me. Anyway, I posed Dawn on the bed and found out two very important things. The bed is not long enough or wide enough for both Dusk and Dawn to fit at the same time, and the blanket is too long. I had to scale the bed to make it look right.

Earl, I have used poses from Gen 4, Genesis and Genesis 2 with success on Dawn and Dusk...I remember some good sleeping poses for Genesis but I'm not sure about Gen4...but after a quick check using google...http://www.daz3d.com/relax-and-sleep. I thought I remembered seeing these. It does say Poser compatible on them.

No problem...some may need slight adjustments but others seem to work out of the box. I just tried them on Dawn and have a render cooking with one to show you.

The first one is the V4 pose...these ones tend to need more adjusting as Dawn has an extra neck and stuff.

Here's one of the genesis ones for comparison...
