The Anchorage, Part 3

I didn't get much sleep, true. I woke up after about 4 hours and couldn't get back to sleep. Heading to bed now in hopes of getting a nice rest before work tomorrow.

Bother, didn't see your post, Terre. Glad you had a better sleep.

Today turned from drizzle and light wind to howling gales and torrential rain after I came ashore and the general concensus (aka "you're not going back to your boat in THAT!") was I should stay the night here and go home tomorrow. It's nice to have good friends :)

Morning folks. Just in for a short while, as I have to run out to an appointment, but will be back later this afternoon, my time. ;)

Howdy folks :) A bright sunny day is welcome in the North Island after yesterday afternoon/evening's gale. There is widespread flooding all over, with some devastating flash floods further south. It looks like no one was killed or injured, thankfully. My river, the Kawakawa, upon which my Sans Souci floats is looking akin to the Mississippi today...not as wide but certainly as brown! I would love to go for a swim but no, I canna cope in that coloured water

Having fun with my kiwi and their burrow at the mo...man Ken did a fab job!
