@Terre
I understand what you're saying and how frustrating it can be to feel like you are being silenced or not allowed to have a reasonable voice on subjects that are important to you. Genesis 1 was released in 2011 and a lot has changed since then, least of all 3 further generations of the Genesis figure that seem to have taken on board the very feedback you mentioned at a figure development level. It could be said that the issue was with the action of the forum moderators at the time who are after all are only human and were acting to moderate the forums according to the terms laid out within the site TOS. A TOS that is similar even to the one being used here. Around the time you mentioned there was a lot of negativity and direct attacks creeping into the Daz forums and I suspect the moderators were acting to mitigate these forces in the interests of keeping the peace. Some posts may have been swept up as they were revisiting old issues that had been previously covered ad infinitum or were being discussed elsewhere on the forum. The Daz 3D forum moderators are volunteers and are not employees of Daz 3D, at least they were in the time period you mentioned. I can't say for sure if this has changed or not. There is also currently an appeals process if you feel your post may have been unfairly dealt with, where the post is reviewed by the entire moderator team and a decision is made as a group. Every forum is different and every moderator is different. No one likes having posts removed especially if they have poured their heart into a war and peace style message but every forums removes posts that breach the TOS, even this one. Hopefully that sour taste will one day fade, as has been previously expressed here we are all human and even moderators from time to time make mistakes or react harshly under relentless pressures.
It's also great for making movie monsters. I've seen quite a few renders with one or more animal and/or monster figures mixed with results from hilarious to truly excellent.DAZ probably felt the financial pinch as much as they accepted "feedback" on the androgynous Genesis figure. Their CAs were very slow to adopt Genesis even though it was extremely popular at other sites and still is to this day with many freebie content makers.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here, even tho some won't like it, so here goes:
People need to remember that a forum is a PRIVATE entity and that the owners/operators can impose any rules they like - it's NOT a democracy. They can be heavy handed with the "censorship" or light, like Hivewire. Either way is ok with me because I don't run/own/pay for any of the forums I post in. For people that know me, it's a matter of course that some of my posts at Daz and elsewhere are going to disappear. They always have and that's just the way it is . I don't think much of it anymore. I've known how the forums there are for years now. Posts of mine have disappeared in nearly every forum I frequent. Also ok. Sometimes posts and/or threads need to be shut down for the greater good, much as I love a more open forum style with people that feel they can speak freely. I hate to see it happen, because it usually means things have devolved to the point of dead horse beating. I'm hoping that doesn't happen here.

Debating issues is cool. Even when the discussion gets a bit passionate. Artists do tend to be rather passionate as has been mentioned at HiveWire any number of times. The discussion just needs to remain about the issues and not the people participating in the issue.
Honestly, if you are a DAZ PA and have issues with DAZ 3D, or you are a DAZ PA and have issues with another DAZ PA, there is a better place than HiveWire to discuss that. Yeah?

I apologise if that is what you inferred from my post it was not my intent at all, quite the opposite, everyone should be able to voice their opinion if it's done with respect to others, people should feel able to put forward an opposing viewpoint without being attacked and ganged up on, personally I don't feel comfortable voicing how I feel here and often keep quiet because I know what the result will be if I do say anything.
Seriously, folks can we stop with the name calling? You disagree, fine. Let it go, and just don't respond.
Oh and personally? I was one of those people who didn't like the decision to sell HiveWire animals exclusively at DAZ. I don't see it as hypocritical in the least that those of us who didn't like the partnership also are upset over the decision by DAZ to drop the HiveWire animals.
We might not have agreed with HiveWire's decision, but at the end of the day ... what was important was that we supported HiveWire.
You see ... HiveWire is open and honest with their customers. That's a really cool thing and one of many things about HiveWire, Chris, Lisa, Paul, and Alisa I greatly admire. To have that partnership ended so abruptly by DAZ was rather uncool. Especially since the partnership was discontinued not because the quality of the HiveWire animals wasn't up to DAZ's expectations, but because HiveWire continued to be open and honest with us and not only addressed our concerns, but admitted to sharing some concerns.
Were we supposed to celebrate? That's now how we work here.
I'd call them by their name or the name they're known as here in the forum. Look, if a contract was breached between DAZ and another party, unless you were also a party to that contract, let DAZ handle it. What are you getting so worked up over?I am sorry, what would YOU call someone that knowingly violates an NDA just because they feel wronged while hiding behind a fake name? What would YOU call a person who is publicly bashing sites and people behind a fake name? Instead of being a grown up and handling it with some maturity?
They have stated they sell at other sites, so leave Daz and sell there. Don't cry about it and leak info and bash your fellow vendors over it.

It is with deep disappointment and regret that we announce that our young publishing relationship with DAZ has come to an abrupt end.
Late in the afternoon last Thursday, we received an email from DAZ stating that they were ending our publishing relationship, and they wished us luck.
Rather than focus on the quality offering of our animal products, and what could be accomplished together, we were informed after my initial forum announcement, that DAZ was disappointed and saddened by what was stated. They also unfortunately chose to resurrect a handful of our past differences we've had between us over the years. We had hoped that we could have gotten past those concerns and moved forward for the betterment of all involved. We had hoped that publishing our animals with DAZ would open up a new audience to our quality brand and content.
We had put forth some significant efforts to begin to update our animal products, with updated materials, textures, re-rendering images, graphics, quality assurance testing, all before submitting products to the DAZ store. We updated, and submitted to DAZ, the House Cat, Kitten and Orange Tabby products in the first week of July and have since been working hard on updating all of our Horse products before uploading to Daz.
Lisa, myself, and the HiveWire team have always strived to be truthful, honest, and forthcoming with the sharing of information within our forums. We think people who have invested in us deserve that. It's my belief that because we didn't spew a stream of rainbows, cotton candy, and synthetic sunshine to you all in our publishing announcement, that this hurt us to the point of no return with the powers that be at DAZ.
We apologize here to all concerned. We have already apologized to our primary contacts at DAZ for the way they viewed our announcement, and tried to add clarity to our post to publish with them, and again convey our excitement to work with them. But to no avail.
To those of you that were looking forward to our HiveWire animals coming to DAZ, you have a very limited time frame to pick up the products we currently have at DAZ. We hope you'll make the decision to step over to our store and give us an honest try. We have many quality products to add to your content libraries. We are currently advancing efforts on our HiveWire Big Dog, as well as juggling other exciting products.
Now that the decision to end our publishing agreement was handed down to us from DAZ, we continue to move forward within our HiveWire store. All of our animals both current and future will be available here at home, and this will make many of you happy to see.
I hadn't seen where it said THAT was why it was dissolved. But then again its a very long post lol Would you be able to point this out? Reading 30 pages or so I tend to miss stuff hehe Thank you!
