Morning all...(just it's 5 to 12 here) Been at work since Wednesday and haven't been on the net much except for school stuff...
That sounds interesting Rokket...I am on a ship that supplies the US Navy with their gas and food. It's about 700 feet long and as tall as a US aircraft carrier.
There are laws here but the kids use social media and two way radios to avoid being caught. Apparently the police had already broken up one group close by and some of the young people had moved elsewhere. It was unfortunate that they chose there. Every time I go past that section of the road it makes me nervous. Always has. Alongside the road there is a lot of grass it would be very easy for someone to choose to drive over there. I always thought that it should be better barricaded then it is.And they were drag racing....
I don't know what the laws are like there, but where I live that is illegal. I feel bad for their families also, that's a nasty way to go. :/
Lol...I get in trouble for that with my brother in law. He likes to go sailing...as well as working on boats.Yeah, the one I am on is turning 6 this year. I was in the Navy from 18 to 38 years old. Every time I called a ship a boat I was chastised for it. "Do you know the difference between a ship and a boat?!?" (shakes head)
"A boat can be put on a ship. But a ship can't be put on a boat!"
But even now, someone will ask me where I am going. I'd always reply "back to the boat...."
I've never tried to do a brisket. Some types of cuts are difficult to cook...not that I cook much these days as I pay my kids to cook.Dinner here was a bust. Sometimes you just get a brisket that simply will not cook right no matter how experienced one is with cooking briskets. Argh. I guess tomorrow it will be the hard work of shredding it up and making it into a sort of meat soup/gravy thing to put over noodles. Dangit. We were so looking forward to a good chunk of meat for dinner, too.
So sorry to hear this Satira...your neighbours aren't very nice. They should have stopped. You were very lucky that you didn't break anything. As if it isn't enough to be dealing with hives, I slipped on a patch of ice in the parking garage this morning and landed on my left knee and hands. One car away from mine! I'm ALWAYS so careful when there is the possibility of ice, but I never even considered there would be ice in the parking garage this morning. Not when I'm trying to skirt around the unfrozen puddles. Had the puddles been frozen, I'd have expected ice. Wasn't until I got in my car that I saw it was a whole 28F. Well ... yeah. There's going to be ice when it's that cold.
So there I am on my hands and knees, and I'm not sure which made me feel worse ... my knee and hands screaming owwie, my pant legs soaking up ice cold water, or the frustration at not being able to get up. Several 'considerate' neighbors drove by ... apparently assuming I was just a crazy old lady sitting on the wet cold pavement because it was such a cool thing to do. I managed to crawl closer to the car next to mine so I could use it to help me off the ground. Gettting off the floor or ground isn't the easiest thing anymore, but it definitely requires a stable surface!
I've not hear of that toy...I will have to see if I can get it in Australia. Sounds good...Tsuki's Cricket toy arrived today. It chirps when touched. So she had a grand old time with it for a bit. Now she's off to something else.
I'm trying to find a teething toy for her, but every teething toy has horror stories about pieces breaking off and being eaten and getting lodged in the intestines. So, I"ll ask the vet for recommendations tomorrow.
Most bosses are like that...unfortunately.The crazy part is I'm just the store's scanning coordinator. I'm nowhere near a computer expert but compared to the boss I am and as such I've ended up being considered the IT person in store. I've ended up learning some things along the way but the biggest thing is I just know more about the why and how of computers than the boss but he still won't listen if it's something he doesn't want to believe.
Sounds like you had a good time...Gosh, my evening got derailed big time but in a good way. I had just unlocked the dinghy padlock about 5.30 to come home when I got a text from a friend asking if I'd like to go there for toasted sandwiches. Well, I can't turn down an invitation like that so here I am, 6 hours later, sandwiched, socialed and home. Also had a swim when I got back which was lovely. Sometimes the best fun is unplanned
She sounds so cute...definitely a shy kitty! lolEverything looks good. She is definitely teething. But it's her canines that are coming in. Which don't usually come in till they are 6 months old. So funny because she has both the baby canines and the adult canines. She looks like a vicious vampire.
She was so cute too. I opened the carrier door and she ran over to the vet (this was Tsuki's first time at my vet's) and started sniffing her face. Vet commented on how shy she is. Yep. That's Tsuki. Can't find another kitten as shy as she is
