The humidity hasn't been that horrible ... compared to last week. It's just too hot. So, I won't be going out for bloodwork and a prescription tomorrow. It will have to wait till next week.

The humidity is lower than last week, but if it's over 40-45%, it's too high for me, no matter what the temp is.

Last week was horrible. I just wish the humidity had broken up after the thunderstorm earlier, but they usually make it worse. ~sigh~

Howdy all! I got up this arvo just in time to see a glorious winter day...nary a cloud in the sky and the sun streaming into the wheelhouse. Barely 20 mins later and big black clouds are covering the sky from the south and that lovely sun is disappearing. But I saw enough to put a smile on my dial :) Hope that humidity eases for you ladies.

Yeah, hard thunderstoms don't help the humidity. The only thing that helps that is a steady and slow rain that lasts for a while. That thunderstorm only lasted a few minutes - and it left it more humid than it was before the rain. Ugh.

Hi, Lorraine - glad you got to see some decent sunlight at least. :)

Yeah. Thunderstorms do make it worse here. Something that annoys me no end. Because in the Pacific Northwest, a thunderstorm clears the air, and life is ever so much better after one.

Unless you were struck by lightning or attempted to drive through a creek just as a flash flood came tearing through.

SO true, Satira. I think that's the biggest thing I miss from out there... a thunderstorm was such a HUGE relief. Out here? It's a curse during the summer! LOL

You need a special buoy with a lightning rod that floats a bit of a distance from your boat ... topped by a little gnome flaunting his assets at Mother Nature. Nothing says come get me better than a sassy little gnome ... especially one flaunting his assets. Especially, if he is also dropping bits of plastic into the ocean below him.

Long as the lightning rod is taller than anything on your boat, any lightning should strike that instead of your boat! Unless you angered Mother Nature at any time in your life. Then she may decide whatever lightning protection you use on your boat judgement day has come.

This is why that sassy little gnome is essential. Mother Nature directs her ire at HIM, not YOU.

As long as sassy gnome prevents you ever being punished by Mother Nature!

Florida is a good place to avoid. It's one of those areas where there are a lot of lightning strikes to boats. The Pacific Northwest is on the other end of the scale with few lightning strikes to boats. Which is perfect as that's where I'd want to live on a boat.

No doubt about it though, lightning storms are scary. Especially, when they are right overhead.

But then ... most incredibly beautiful things in nature are rather dangerous.

Mmmmmm, so nice sitting here in the sun, the wind roaring around the boat but me safely behind the windows warm and comfy. So very nice.

Well, I've been sitting here sick the past few days, and I hope it's out of my system by tomorrow. Started with a horrendous sore throat at 4:00am on Thursday morning. The sore throat eased up quite a bit by the time I went to sleep Thursday night, but Friday my sinuses got into the act, and I was sneezing and had a runny nose practically the whole day.

So I took a couple of Benadryl and went to sleep early (for me) on Friday night, and slept for roughly 12 hours, though I did get up a couple/three times for trips to the BR. Today, my sinuses are still bothering me, though not as bad as yesterday, but I'm coughing. I've been trying to keep my throat lubricated with sucking candy and lots of water. I'm still sneezing some, so I'm hoping by tomorrow this will clear up some more.

The sad part is, I don't know if I have a cold, or a bad allergic reaction, though to what I have no idea.
