Great day indeed! (You stole our sunlight. It's been cool and sprinkley all day here. LOL)

 

[Miss B]

We had sunshine in the early morning, but by the time I left for the gym later in the morning it was cloudy, and it was threatening rain while I was there.

Luckily it didn't actually rain, and the sun's out again. Turned out a good day after all, good mostly because I didn't take an umbrella with me, so was glad I didn't get rained on.

Good morning! I think we stole your sunshine again, Terre, it's streaming in the front windows and trying to give my legs a tan Miss B, those Dolphins were having a blast! They were doing tandem leaps in the air, acrobatics all over the place. Haven't seen so many for such a long time. The consensus of opinion is that dolphins are abandoning the bay over summer because of all the visiting boats that come up from Auckland. There are just so many boats that the dolphins can't feed so they leave till summer is over and then return. So, SO happy to see them back

 

[Miss B]

Yes, I always got the impression that dolphins are happy animals, and like to show off.

 

[Lorraine]

They certainly like having fun! Have you seen the videos of dolphins surfing? Way cool.

 

[Terre]

Lorraine, I can see a large enough gathering of boats scaring off the food so that does make sense. Glad they come back part of the year.

 

[Lorraine]

It's not so much that the boats scaring away the food, Terre, as the boaties wanting to interact with the dolphins all day and them not having time to eat. If you multiply what we had with them yesterday by hundreds, you can see they'd get mighty hungry and lose condition, some of the younger ones very much so. The decision by the dolphins to move out during that period is a good one.

Hi Terre, Miss B, Rae it's a sunny day with a furious southerly blowing here but it's not a cold southerly, weird.

Just caught sight of the sky on my way to scan and it was a pretty blue

Something about a blue sky, isn't there Rae?! Lifts the spirits.

 

[Miss B]

Seeing the sun shining in the windows in the morning lifts my spirits before I even go to the window to look up at the sky. If it's grey and cloudy I'm not a happy camper, whether it rains or not.

 

[Lorraine]

Grey skies are so gloomy. Even if it doesn't rain or even be cold, a grey sky lowers. Can anyone tell me why so many people now have grey furnishings?! And don't give me that 'silver' routine...I know grey when I see it. And beige, almost as bad, makes me start searching for a sharp knife.

Spirits definitely needs lifting today

I know what you mean Miss B, I think id rather it rain than just be gloomy.

I like grey inside, just not outside but you need a pop of bright colour to go with
