Advert time! I needed a bold image without a complex background to advertise a Heavy Horse event later this year. In previous years I have used photographs I took at previous events and clipped out focal images, but this year I thought I'd try a 3D render. Enter Harry, a whole bunch of CWRW's stuff (coat texture, pose, mane & tail pack- THANK YOU FOR MAKING GOOD STUFF!!), Photoshop and Illustrator. I used the Mane and Tail pack to also create the feather on the legs, rather than using the fetlock figure. Once I'd done, I happened to glance back at the original render, and found myself quite surprised at just how different it appeared!

After (Final image then used as part of the advert)

Pity you missed the deadline, Rae! I like the impression of having managed to sneak a photo through a hide or car window. That foal colouring really reminded me of something, but could I remember what? Nope! Closest I've found in nature is a striped heyena, of all things.

haha HaiGan, the "Grey" texture on the foal is basically the grey-scale version of the "Gold" tiger before I made it into the "White" tiger (the mares coat) so I don't think there is anything like it in real life.

Another extra-late entry for the DOF challenge; work just kept me too busy to finish on time. Here it is anyway...

Playing with LAMH (hence the hairy Harry), DOF (well, you know why...), and Iray Hair settings. Moderately pleased with the outcome.
