Welcome Kerwin and Paul and Deecey! And if I missed anyone, add your name to my welcome.

Take a nap for a couple hours and there are four pages to read!

When did THAT arrive?? Guess we needed more space to sit than those cushions on the floor :p

You have an excellent memory. It was Tobias, an anthro rabbit blend shape for the first incarnation of Genesus; my first (and last) project for DAZ. ;)
I have Tobias! Cool critter!

For figure graphics I'm primarily a Poser user. Dawn SE is one of my go-to figures these days when I'm using Poser.

Thanks for the warm (re) welcome :) I did get your email Chris and I will get back to you this weekend. I'm usually kind of "dead to the world" during the week when I'm not at work.

When I'm not feeling like a wet noodle, I do some game modding in my spare time. Can't wait to get ahold of the creation kit for Fallout 4 :)

@Netherworks Great Game!! I've been into that one since it was just Fallout and no numbers!! LOL And it's forerunner was called Wasteland!

I have a hard time with this subject. And, yes, I've read it in several forums/sites. I wish RDNA, Hivewire, DAZ3D and all the Poser or 3D Artists out there all the best.

I've had a love-hate relationship with DAZ since their beginnings. Some cruel people got me banned from most of the online forums over a decade ago. RDNA was one of the few sites that supported me all these years. Hivewire is another. Over the years I've moved from Poser to DAZ Studio for so many reasons. I've also concentrated on the Genesis figures as opposed to the old generations. With these preferences it is hard to support RDNA and even Hivewire with my purchases.

DAZ3D is the place that generates most of my interest. I'm afraid that I'll be banned from RDNA now that they've merged with DAZ3D.

Nice to be here, having to *headdesk* a bit too much in the other forums right now.

Been at this since at least 2001, was a vendor at PoserPros and Renderosity for a few years. Had one item, made to fit Rosy Cheeks Lina, Koshini, Ichiro, Aiko 3, and by request M3. Points to anyone who knows the item. :)

I'm still cautiously optimistic about the merge. Having read Lady LittleFox's facebook post it makes a lot more sense than it did when first announced.

I remember that anthro bunny because it was brilliant! Thanks for creating it. :)

I'm still in shock and I will miss RDNA. Hopefully HiveWire can be my new virtual home! :inlove:
Welcome to the hive Margy...

Hi all

Another Poser refugee from that-other-place :) /waves

Cheers
Al/PangurBan
*Waves back...Welcome...do you prefer Al or PangurBan?

Wow! Thanks for the welcome. And Ken and Laurie, thanks for your stories and encouragement. It makes a difference. Maybe this is where I need to be. Got to make some decisions. Thanks again to you all. :)

And thanks for the link Alisa. I've read it. It's all a bit daunting. Need to digest it all.
@David, are you the one who made the great poser outfit for Star? I seem to remember the thread over at RDNA but I'm not sure if I'm confusing you with someone else?

Hi Margy! I'm sure you'll be very comfortable at Hivewire.

I love your textures for Harmony Hair (on DawnSE here, converted via HCS)

Lovely texture and hair...I will have to check it out. For all I know I may already own it. I have way too many hair products...

Hey Thanks Pen. Kind of a toss up for me as to release them as freebies, or hold them for a food pack to sell. Hey Poser people have to eat too!
Either would work for me...us DS users can always convert...props will work in both programs with just adjustments to materials.

Hello to everyone!

I just wanted to thank Chris et al for the wonderfully positive vibes going on in here. It's refreshing, and wonderful!

(As an aside, I'm trying to figure out how to change my "avatar" name to my usual "Deecey." How do I go about doing that?)

Carry on folks, and I think I'll be hanging out for a while. This place rocks.
Welcome back Deecy!

Well lol ........ it's much better than how I got mine!! LOL ....... Word of advice ! When playing DnD don't pull a flaming sword next to an ocean of Alcohol. I made crispy critters out of our DnD party except the Cleric who had a charm of protection against fire! =P
 That would have been fun to see...

And to show it can be done with the new process:-

G 3 In Poser 11 Pro with expressions.

All the best.

Richard
Great work Richard...

I'm a staunch DS user (I have Poser and hate to say I really do not like it), but unlike a lot I am content agnostic - if it's for Poser only, then that's a shame, and that will be balanced by a nice DS only item. What I really want is for the content creators to do what they love doing and have that great work they do be profitable enough for them to be able to continue doing it.
I don't think anyone would be able to part me from my DS...have dabbled with Poser recently mainly for content creation but DS is my favourite...mind you if it's Poser only I like to try and convert it managed to do so with most of the Dawn and Dusk stuff...

I'll likely be around here more as well. I'm mostly a ZBrush guy, though I make figures from time to time.

-Kerwin
Welcome Kerwin...I'm still learning to use ZBrush...it is an amazing program.

I'm another who bought your figure Tobias...really nice work!

lol...you want to try 8 hours sleep followed by going to work for another 8 I lost count of the pages...

Quickly hides the bill for the new couch, rug and easy chairs from Alisa...
@Alisa, I'm not sure where it came from...; )

Ahhh...do you do ElderScroll games also or just Fallout? I play elderscrolls and have done some basic modding for Skyrim...another thing I would love to have more time for.

Welcome TesseractSpace, yes LittleFox's post was very interesting reading...and does help to make sense of things.

We do try to limit the 'headdesk' here, it's so hard on the furniture and it makes the computers jump ;)
Not to mention people's heads...

Ahh, Skyrim. It makes it seem easy what Studio and Poser makes so difficult. I've got all the realism texture mods and the weather mods and the real water mods. I've considered hanging up Studio and Poser and just scripting scenes in Skyrim. Realtime animation, not rendered a frame at a time...
