No he's not!! Brent Spiner was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

Edited to add: His parents, Sylvia (Schwartz) and Jack Spiner, owned and operated a furniture store, and were both from Jewish immigrant families (from Austria, Hungary, and Russia).

I think he meant Mr. Data, not Brent. It was probably said one time in one of the episodes, when they were trying to remain inconspicuous.

I did indeed mean the character. It was a running joke, when Data explained his complexion and looks to some people. He claimed to be French. Personally, I never got the joke.
