From the research I've done around dynamics the bullet engine relies on the physics engine so there was a complaint about the bullet not working as it should. I asked CoPilot about that and it dug into the 'Rosity white papers I guess and found that in order for bullet to work properly there needs to be a dynamic physics engine. They are working on it but others in the group keep directing them to more updated solutions so they are testing and figuring it all out. There are some dynamic clothing makers in the group who are NOT happy but are trying to remain patient. So must we all. I'd just stick to P13 for now, that's really all I can suggest.
Thank you Richard , there is no other solution but waiting a little longer, hopefully it will be all worth it ! And if not there is still P13 and PP11 lol

Thanks Cath...that means a lot coming from you.

Having read the posts about Poser it seems I'm better off not worrying about updating it at the moment. Shame that it's lost its clothroom in the latest update.

Material presets done. Now I need to pack it and get them tested.

Pose Ramwolf, the more I play with these poses from Ram the more I like them.
I still really need some expressions because I'm so crap at creating them from sliders.

I should be packing the shorts and top but what do I do instead? A quick and dirty uv for the leotard and tutu for Baby Luna. So easily distracted at the moment...

Playing in dforce with more of Baby Luna's clothing that I've had sitting there for a while. Lots of kick up around the hem by changing the velocity smoothing and velocity smoothing iterations most of it cleared up and the remainder increased smoothing helped with.
Still have a small amount on each side that I would like to improve on.

I'm glad your enjoying the pose pack hon. Sadly and madly I put them up as a freebie for Dawn 2 as I just couldn't seem to satisfy the 'Rosity testers so out of spite I changed direction and put them up on 'Rosity's freebie area. It was worth it in the long run. I don't really support the female shapes too much and it was a learning experience for me. NEVER EVER have any body part colliding with other body parts, meaning what you may want to represent an indentation of say the hand onto the thigh or the foot onto the side of the leg can't touch at all. To me it makes things look less realistic so I gave up trying to please the in house tester and released it as I saw fit as a freebie! LOL

So yesterday when I was playing with dforce I had another look at the top to see if I could get it to work. While do that it occured to me that it would make a really nice dress so I sent it to zbrush and this is what I've ended up with. UV is really basic and needs more work.

Found a few things yesterday whilst going thru files in ZBrush including this partially done texture. I also have a leotard with a skirt that's partially done. At the moment it's only diffuse.

Shorts and top I've sent the link to Dark Angel. So now I need to decide what I'm doing next.

I was thinking of starting off with working on skill sets.

Improving areas like:

  1. weightmapping
  2. Modelling
  3. Knowledge of dforce
  4. Template creation
  5. Texturing
  6. Understanding the surfaces tab better with a view to moving into IRay ShaderMixer.
Do I need to work out a priority list for myself or just pick and choose where the whim takes me....decisions, decisions, decisions.

I have got a number of projects that I'm in the middle of. Do I choose the skill I need to complete one of them. Which one?

So when I'm finished with my freebie pack for your shorts and top do I submit to Dark Angel or is that your personal tester? Not sure who's running the show these days for submissions free or store.

As for the list above the weight mapping is a good one. It's so tricky and can sometimes be really challenging when you want to go beyond basic weight mapping. I remember way back when before DS had dynamics I was working on a cape (Never released it) but was able to get some really cool things happening with it using just weight mapping. It was fun, frustrating and well it never went anywhere but I considered it a feather in my cap for what I was able to accomplish. Now, I can't remember diddly of what I learned! LOL The old saying "use it or loose it" couldn't be more apropos! LOL

I can test for you. Then just provide Dark Angel with the link. They're happy to take what they can get.

Yes...I think weight mapping is a good one. Also Dforce as if I worked thru the pdf's on it from Daz I'd be able to release dforce stuff while continuing to work on weightmapping.

Spent today tidying up the Parameters tab on Dawn. So annoying when you can't shift a morph because they compressed the file.

OK. I'll write up the ReadMe and DropBox the zip to you to test out.

I NEVER compress my files it's a pain in the ass to deal with.

Well I gotta redo one of the texture options. The striped one I did needed some fixing where the straps meet at the top. It was all wonky It's fixed now but will have to redo the BUMP/SPEC and Normal maps to match. Won't take me too long

No worries Ram...

I vaguely remember that it's possible to uncompress them somehow I'll have to look for a way. It's really going to annoy me otherwise...
