Last one as the current simulation is likely to come unstuck. What is really needed is characters and expressions...everything else I can convert.

I am trying to make new stuff, but i lost a bit of interest due to Poser 14´s removal of the cloth room. So i wait for a new solution.

It's hard when you lose the muse.

I don't think I have Poser 14. I will have to have a look over at Rendo where I bought it last time to check. I don't have it installed at the moment. I will check but I'm fairly sure that the last version I bought was the pro version which gave me access to additional tools. I can't remember though...Poser and I have an adversarial relationship it makes my brain melt.

So...it's one of those afternoons. I was trying to use dforce with the top to see how it went. Firstly I kept having the shoulders fall off. So I tried doing a surface group for a small area and that didn't work either so I tried doing a larger area and this is what I ended up with. I'm going to think about this some more. It does work alright as conforming but I'd like them both to work okay with Dforce.

  • Revisiting of the cloth simulation library: This aims to improve the quality and functionality of cloth simulation.
So it is gone completely? I did not updated yet to Power 14

I'm glad you asked about it Cath. I've been wondering if I should update also. I have Poser Pro 11 and I think there was another update before this one.

Still have the mats to do but the outfit is now saved. Top is conforming only and the shorts can be used either as conforming or dynamic.
Very minor poke thru in extreme poses which is easily fixed by adding a push modifier at .03. I'll do the mats tomorrow and then it's time to pack it up for Dark Angel.

yes, they plan for a new open source cloth engine, but no time schedule yet. And also no mention of the unimesh either. You cant use Bullit Physics yet because they did not convert the code properly

This all will not make it anything better for the current situation. The most important new features are not there yet to get it out of the sinking hole. I will pass and wait for a better release if it ever come.

From the research I've done around dynamics the bullet engine relies on the physics engine so there was a complaint about the bullet not working as it should. I asked CoPilot about that and it dug into the 'Rosity white papers I guess and found that in order for bullet to work properly there needs to be a dynamic physics engine. They are working on it but others in the group keep directing them to more updated solutions so they are testing and figuring it all out. There are some dynamic clothing makers in the group who are NOT happy but are trying to remain patient. So must we all. I'd just stick to P13 for now, that's really all I can suggest.
