I am SO glad you're back!

Well, I will have to model a bikini. Her body isn't like anything else on the market. That is one thing I am proud of.

Meet Gracie. She's slightly shorter and has a smaller body than Miki 4. Her breasts are small and she has a pretty much typical Asian body. That is the one thing I noticed about all the Asian female morphs. They morph the face, but the body is still European.

To create this picture, I borrowed Miki 4's eyes and eyelashes. The hair is a V4 prop I scaled to fit. The skin is a painted texture done in Sculptris. She is far from finished. Right now her mesh is at almost 500,000 polygons. The plan was to completely sculpt her, then retopo in Blender. Hence the push to learn Blender.

There are a lot of fixes that need to be done with this sculpt, especially around the eyes and her chin. It's too chiseled.

Any other critiques are more than welcome. When I get the Star Wars boots done, I'll model some underthings so I can post her body.

As Seliah says, you'll need to cover up the 'bits and pieces' (I do like that description ;) ). A bikini seems to be the commonest way when you are trying to show off a body shape.

She's very pretty, Rokket. As soon as I saw the picture it reminded me of a lady I know, younger than her but similar in appearance.

I was worried that she would look too much like Miki. I did a side by side comparison of their faces. She doesn't.

That is looking good Rokket.
One thing I noticed years ago is a lot of the Asian morphs elsewhere for the face still have European noses no matter what they do otherwise.

Yeah, I think part of that is because of limitations of the dials. I have to work my fuzzy tail off to get the nose to look non-European (no matter WHAT ethnic group I'm morphing for!) on just about EVERY figure there is... no matter how many dials we have.

To totally get rid of the European bleed-through on things like noses and eyes, it pretty much means a Zbrush or Blender or some other modeler sculpting job needs to be done. And many vendors (myself included) still rely strictly on the dials for a number of reasons.

Rokket - I think she's looking great so far. I might suggest maybe shortening the length of the head; ie bringing the lower face "up" a little bit; the overall length of the head (from the top of the forehead down to the bottom of the jaw in the center) seems to be a little bit "long" if that makes sense. But I think you're off to a great start.

I can see what you mean. I am rendering her full body right now with the 'bikini' I modeled in less than 10 minutes (it shows). After that I will render a head shot with no hair. But I think you are right. Her face is a bit long from the eyes down.

As you can see, I have a lot of sculpting still to do. Her hands aren't done, and I need to work on her thighs and knees some more. I also need to fix her shoulders and collar area. So far, though. I think she will be a really nice figure once I finish her. Whenever that will be. This is model is a year old already...

But she's looking good so far, Rokkit. Doesn't really matter how long it takes, does it? As long as you are doing something you enjoy, time is irrelevant.

That's true, but I am the guy who usually has 10 or 12 projects going at the same time. This one took a back seat to my comic when I decided I was going to do that. I got her as far as she is right now, but still a long way off. I still have to get past the few things I know how to do in Blender and actually learn how to do poly to poly modeling with it so I can retopo her mesh. And then there is rigging to do, hair to create, and some clothing for her. The panties are a keeper. The placeholder I am calling a bra will go away.

Here is her head, minus the hair:

Only 10 - 12?! Gracious me, you are good.
Those are just modeling projects. The count goes way up when you add in my scripts that I am working on, renders I am toying with, textures and materials I am building, and my music projects: I used to be heavily into home recording. Now I just practice mixing my songs every once in a great while...

Makes you think you might need a clone, huh?! I have lots of projects on the go cos I get bored easy...how's that for self character assassination. But my biggest problem on the boat is lack of power to run the puter...I have lots of time but am limited to a couple of hours a day screen time. However, if the solution is to move ashore I'll settle for the two hours.

Sure! I wasted most of today. It's Sunday tomorrow, so I will be able to get a lot done. The remodel of the boots is first priority, but we both know how that goes...
