FYI -the Resource pack is going to be a completely separate product, not part of the base. It does include duf and mc6 files, so using those will make this a texture pack for end users as well as having the textures used as a MR.

Used as a Merchant Resourse, there will be specific requirements for using it - as Cath said, there will have to be changes made to it before it can be used as a commercial product for a vendor - exactly what is still being decided.

Here's an interesting question about merchant resources. Let's say I want to put tattoos on Dawn 2, but I'm a terrible painter or I just don't know how to do it. Can I, using a merchant resource, hire someone to do the custom tattoos for me? It seems like a rather straightforward question, but it also seems like I'd violate a EULA agreement somewhere down the line unless I paid for the merchant resource twice. Once for me, and once for the third party I'd have to hire. Or is that a mistaken belief?

Both you AND whoever you hire would have to buy any products from HiveWire used in the creation of the pack.

By the way, this is ONLY going to be for commercial product use, not for freebies.

Legally, you can not give ANY part of a product to someone to do things with it, so I'd say they still would have to buy it themselves...I'm not a lawyer, but that's my thought.

You have only one license for one person , it can't move resources from one person to another as that is violation of the EULA . However the person can create layers for you , and you can apply it yourself in image editor .
No matter for personal or commercial usage you still can't share anything you buy , even if the person don't use it for anything else, once it leave your machine it violate the EULA . Every product you purchase have a single user license .

EDIT: sorry did not saw Alisa's reply to you, that is exactly what I mean early .. once the Merchant Resource is ready for regular customers you can read the EULA for fine details .
My preview reply was to Janet as she is an Early Bird CA and not regular customer .
I think it would be better to wait for the final HW documentations and EULA regarding new releases to avoid any confusion.

Hello everyone , here some work in progress screenshots of the PBR textures and PBR eyes for Dawn 2.0 main base figure, it is not yet the final look , as eyelashes and lips maps need to be changed .. just a little WIP teaser for you .
The irises don't have any color textures so any color can be made by changing default color , the iris's dark ring is created automatics by the light corresponding to the iris color and always changing as in real eyes as the eyeballs have new PBR geometry shape , the Cornea materials use accurate IOR volumetric settings for the first time in DS without turning the eyes black what is the case with any other models. Most of the render use just 2 spot light for rendering and rendered with iray .
This is the main plain Dawn 2.0 Base face with the character/render presets "PBR Natural".
In the video above you can see the short video of the eyes movement and following automatic eyelids , Paul rig the eyelids so nicely that it change the shapes and lift up when it get in contact with the corneal bulge for natural movement and to avoid poke through what was always an issue in the past.

Here the same Dawn 2.0 PBR base textures but I plug in couple of my shapes that I made early , Lida, Asian , Nefertiti and African to see how the maps handle it on different shapes .

Also I would like thanks Ken.K for spending his time on testing stuff out for us and for being very supportive, he is the Hawkeye ! Nothing can hide his vision and I was thinking that I am the only one that suffer from 3D OCD .. I guess I am not alone ..
