Well, I was able to download some of them, but I think they make it easier to download on mobiles, so not my laptop, which is where I wanted them.
What I like about lifetime access is, and the Blender course is the perfect example, if the course is updated because of new software versions that have new items the older version didn't have, you can go back and learn the new stuff free of charge. With a stable version of Blender's new 2.8 version coming out next month, there will be updates to the class, and I think it's nice that folks who have completed the class, can go back and do the class (or the new parts in any case) without having to purchase the class again. I think that's a big selling point.
Also, not everyone, myself included, has the time to sit and finish X amount of projects per week, which is how a lot of online courses are set up. All the classes I took for my web design certification were completed in 6 weeks, or I just didn't get it done.
