BACKGROUND:
A Pen & Ink, Color Illustration of an alien fire-shaman. Based on a species I designed for a series of completed but never published short stories. (Still unpublished as of 10-17-2024 and trapped on a Commodore formatted 5.25" floppy disk).
A scan of a very old work I did. This image was created using a combination of calligraphy pens, and brushes with exclusively Higgins color inks (no markers, no paints, no ball point pens). It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface found on the Bristol board, 2 ply, 11.5x14 inch pads. The entire piece took me an unknown length of time to complete. I am scanning much of my old work, in an effort to preserve it for posterity (even works I generally consider unworthy of my gallery). Many of these older scans will end up in scraps, but I like this one, so in the main gallery it goes.
