OK, IT'S OFFICIAL!!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EVERYONE HERE ON THE EAST COAST U.S. It is now 4 minutes into Mother's Day.

Folks on the West Coast will have to wait 3 hours, but it's getting there.

I made scones again today, well had to do some thing with all that whipped cream

Happy Mother's Day to one and all! I had to pass on my scones as NOT ENOUGH MILK! I have just enough to get through till Wednesday if I only have it in my coffee or tea. But there's not enough for scones. How sad, too bad! So I've started some sourdough instead which will be ready to scoff tomorrow, nom, nom

Ohhhh, I love sourdough bread. I used to bring it home from San Francisco back when I was traveling there years ago. Now-a-days they make it here on the East Coast too, though I haven't had it in a long time. Hmmmmm . . . .

Sourdough baked today, it was yum!

Good morning.
I have a mug of pinon coffee now. since a grinder got installed at the store and one of the choices is pinon I decided to try it. Smells interesting.

Hi all...just wanted to let you know I don't have internet access at the moment at home. Unfortunately our modem died and we are having a new one posted out to us but it won't arrive until later in the week.

I had that earlier this year too. Modem's aren't known for lasting very long.

Modem's do wear out. My pals, Joycie's mum and dad, are on to their third one in three years. They now have a spare in the cupboard for when this one snuffs it.

We have a heavy rain warning at the mo. Torrential rain, a monsoon and shitloads of water failing from the sky are predicted overnight and tomorrow morning. Oh joy, oh rapture, time to reactivate the towels. I will be able to catch some rainwater is the one good thing. Sans Souci and her intrepid crew standing by.

I think my first modem lasted about 4 years, and the second one lasted about 3 1/2 years. This time it's a combo modem/router. I didn't want that because the modem goes in another room, and the router is usually here, but that's what my IP issues these days, and supposedly it's a lot better modem than the ones I've previously had. Three new modems in 3 years is a bit weird though. I couldn't imagine a router only lasting about a year. Very weird.

As for the heavy rain, we had that a few days ago, so don't envy you at all. At least you sound prepared.

Lorraine, too bad you can't send some of that rain here. That would benefit both of us.

So true, Terre! My gosh did it rain and blow! We had 77mm/3inches but no flooding that I've seen in the news. The rain and wind has passed and the sun is trying to shine through the clouds, it's warm and humid too.

I found a mushroom growing on the wheelhouse internal wall last night, a mushroom! Today I went looking and a large part of the wall is completely rotten through to the inside hence mushroom, what a joyful find All I can do is dig out as much as I can and cover it up till next summer. Head, wall, BANG!!
